• Reminds me of that one time when I was a young woman seeking help for college binge drinking and I was introduced to all the criminals and court ordered men in the meetings and met that sociopathic biker who was to be respected because he had "time" in the program and married him and lost track of my life for several years.

Never a good idea to date while getting to sobriety.

I've practically been begging my friend to not date until he gets a year first.

I'm sorry you went through that.

  • Hey Utah, you suck at rehabilitating people!

    Sorry, we’ll try better

Maybe if we're forced to hike for miles with rocks in our pockets we'll learn how to behave.

Right? Start sending all the adult addicts to the Utah desert, since this modicum of “treatment” works so well.

I love the movie Holes for pointing out how asinine these treatment programs are: “Take a bad boy, force him to dig holes and he becomes a good boy.”

All the while the people running the show are just in it for the money.

There are a lot of rehab places here, with so many some of them are absolutely going to be bad.

I don't know the ratio. What I can say is a know of a few that are good.

He wasn’t in a rehab, he was forced to hike in the woods for three months as a teenager.

Hey society, why do you think Utah is the place to send your kids. Take care of them yourselves, raise them like you love them!

P.S. Look at Lindsey Lohan she’s sober and doing well. I believe she sought rehab at cirque lodge at Sundance.

Apparently California sucks at rehabilitating people as well -- since before Utah he was in rehab in multiple places in Californina.

  • Live in utah. Was part of the teen treatment industry. I have a few sad stories but mostly good.

You can't fix sociopaths. That's their hardwired brain.

And it's very hard to fix a kid who is hell bent on killing themselves. (In response to kids who go back to harming themselves after treatment).

    Some kids are just...unfixable.

That's a great attitude to have you definitely didn't cause any extra harm to those kids.

  • Silver spoon, entitled, baby looking for new people to blame.

  • I have a close friend that went on a backpack trip with a group that was starting a rehab backpack business. I wonder if it's them.

She says they didn't know what they were doing at all - a total joke. They were not backpackers, but rather jokers looking to make a buck from non-profit fund raising - one of them told her this.

She reported their intentions to the state business licensing division. A few weeks later they offered her a job, which she refused due to her experience with them and fear for participants safety.

  • Why does the worst and craziest 💩 always have some sort of tie back to Utah?!
