Freedivers regularly freedive with belugas and sperm whales for hours at a time but the only issue with them is sometimes the belugas want to play longer than a diver than last and pull the divers down to their death. There have also been instances of sperm whales swallowing divers whole, Typically seemingly by accident but sometimes seemingly deliberately. So a whale shark won't Moby dick you but the sperm whale might.
