Hey y'all! I'm taking MATH 3100 with Christian Gromoll next semester and it's not looking too hot (average GPA 2.9...) but I don't have much space to switch out so uh

Does anyone have any notes, info, or even just the textbook the class uses? I'm hoping maybe getting a head start/reviewing some preliminary stuff might be useful so I don't fail LMFAO

  • Consider the "Schaum's Outline" series. Any time you spend perusing the Outline for Prob, over the break, will set you up for an easier start. These typically include ~500 solved problems, and they are quite inexpensive.

It would also be quite easy for your major advisor to locate a well-performing colleague who took the course before.

Thank you so much! (I don’t have a major advisor yet since I’m undeclared, but…)

  • ya gromoll is hard asf get ready for a ride

  • Where are you getting that average GPA of 2.9 from? This class isn’t supposed to be very difficult according to most people who have taken it.

Also, I know you said it’ll be hard to change, but if you’re super worried, looks like 85% of people get an A with Turner. Maybe take it next semester?

CourseForum is pretty dead these days but still useful for this kind of stuff.

Grade distribution specifically for this prof when he taught it last spring

I might try to take it with a diff prof next sem but idk if I’ll finish my major prereqs on time if I do so we’ll see!

  • GPA doesn’t matter that much just pass the class and stop worrying about shit

    premed dawg premed 😭😭😭

otherwise i wouldn’t have cared LMFAO

damn you’re almost the only exception and of course the one time I comment about it. never gambling again
