Sydney residents are quite possibly the least likely people in the country to go to Bondi Beach. The thing functions as a tourist containment zone, freeing up all the better beaches for us XD

Context for those who don’t know is that the shooting happened at a Hanukkah celebration yesterday at Bondi beach. It was definitely targeted Jewish Australians.
I didn’t get to sleep until like 4am last night. I wasn’t even thinking about it in bed but it must have stayed in my subconscious. I thought the knife attack last year was bad enough. And now things are already getting fucked towards the Arab/Muslim community. I just hate people honestly (except Ahmed al Ahmed)
Definitely defaultism, but I can’t really blame anyone for making the assumption a mass shooting happened in the USA… they’d be right more often than not. America and mass shootings go together like fish and chips.

It was likely a comment from an American, most couldn't identify the location of half of their own cities. Let alone a beach in another country.
