Whats the best source of information about govt work?
Authentic govt PIB release. Directly written by civil servants in their language focussing on the work done by govt in various sector.
The same civil servants on backend are creating these papers.

So the strategy is to only observe authentic govt. What policy are they implementing? What is being done for social justice? International relation, what is important for India now?

Analyse the govt. Map it to syllabus. See what the govt is saying and map it to syllabus. What is the relavant static concept for this govt action?

Where to do it? PIB. Read PIB daily and find out the pattern what govt is consistenly saying over weeks, months, or even quarters.

Reading from PIB might become hard so websites like statewatch.in is quite useful to do it fast.
Once you understand what the govt is talking about right now, you can focus more on those areas. Because thats what the civil servants of India are working on right now.
