90 % of civil servants, especially males, are involved in infidelity and have no remorse over being unfaithful to their wives and children. I personally know 2-3 of them who have illegitimate children with their mistresses. They don’t fear consequences at all because of their position. A few years back, after a retired officer passed away, his wife discovered that he has another child with a woman, much younger in age, in another town and he also bought her a flat.
I used to think this is common in B schools and all. But yes it's true. My ex cheated on me soon after clearing upsc with another trainee. Even the girl knew about it while getting into it. I also know this ips girl from recent batches, who had a long term bf since school, the guy would take her to get exams, to her interviews etc etc and she left him for another trainee within a month of getting into lbsnaa.
Yeah same here.. I have come to realisation that all the people who are selfish, only they go ahead in life and being loyal, consistent, etc etc in relationship doesn't get you anything. Karma is just coping mechanism. It's just too damn hard these days to focus on studies while going through such betrayal trauma while the other person who inflicted so much pain is happy and thriving.
I used to believe this, and still partially do, I had developed trust issues due to the fact that I saw a member of EVERY couple cheating, I didn't date for years but then after dating a few women, I did find someone with moral character, a person who makes you want to keep your morality alive for them. So while I know the twisted nature of life, and will play the game in areas that compel me to, I can never even IMAGINE breaking my code when it comes to family - parents and that person, but for the rest - it's tit for tat, practicality first. It took me a lot of time to find my balance of pragmatism and morality.
You comments make me nostalgic, I hope you guys don't let your morality and conscience die due to bad experiences and existence of samples with no moral character.
You comments make me nostalgic, I hope you guys don't let your morality and conscience die due to bad experiences and existence of samples with no moral character.
That's something I would never do. I am okay with living a very normal life but I would never cheat anyone to get ahead. At the end of the day, I want to live upto my value system and ethics. Due my experiences, I have come to realisation how much it matters to me to stay aligned with morality.
How did you cope up with this betrayal or whatever one may call it? Really makes one question, what happens to people after selection that they end up cutting ties altogether all of a sudden.
karma toh hota he hai.. reason why all lives are different. its not a 1 lifetime affair.. the good of now is the good of the past not present.. these dumbfucks will see to it may be this life or as a pig next life
Bhai yr dekh love , morality, ethics kuch exist nhi krta we are animals 😂😂😂 accept kr use tujhse acha option mil gya aur move on hogyi this is life man don't take stress now
I am a woman. And secondly whether that women was better for me or not isn't that concern because this ain't a competition and secondly that woman knew about me still went ahead, it shows her class. So yeah trash deserves trash.
But you would think civil servants are different from rest of the crowd because of all the integrity, honesty, etc etc bullshit being fed into their brains. People who cheat in corporates, they don't have much chances of getting corrupt in professional life but the ones in public service, the ones who cheat in personal life are bound to be a dishonest officer.
Once people gain power, most of them lose humanity because they can easily escape accountability. The top 1% is worse than poor people when it comes to morals.
100%. My bf is an IAS and so are some of my other friends. They keep telling stories of how people cheat on their long term partners in Lbsnaa. Some even leave their long term partners for someone they just met in the training. Some engage in double dating, for eg they are with one person publicly but behind closed doors they’ll also hookup w someone else. There is also a category in lbsnaa called MBA (married but available). Even the top rankers get drunk mindlessly but look at the image they portray to the outside world. It’s all a scam. The circle is dirty af.
Has anyone seen the reality of foreign service video on youtube which was posted by an IFS? He told the toxic culture and also about corrupted officers in the foreign service
I don't know whether its still on youtube or got deleted but I think around 4-5 months ago I came across a youtube video where a guy who apparantly works in the Indian Embassy in some other country revealed about the toxic work culture, corruption and about the people who work in the Foreign service
Every year, about 700–1,100 candidates are recommended/selected through the UPSC Civil Services.
And On average 600-700 corruption cases filed against civil servants.
IAS/IPS have done far more corruption than any politician in Indian history and are one of the most important cause of india’s downfall and you guys are gonna part of it
The target for a commissioner is 100 cr per year from cm. He earns around 10cr from there. Target decreases per rank and talathi tak target goes to 12L per year. Maybe revise hua rahega. Curruption mein bhi inflation hai.
Civil servants do not have secrets. Their life is about transparency and accountability to the public. The myths about corruption, examination being rigged are just myths.
You don't need to even crack the CSE. With right contacts you can become a state commission servant (without clearing exams of course) and get elevated to UPSC the moment you reach the minimum criteria.
Majority of the policy makers have no idea what they're doing and have now exported thinking to chatGPT and rely shockingly too much on it.
If a student in 11th wants to prepare for upsc how does he start from scratch? And also is it like worth it? Investing all the time? please koi answer this.
1.District Magistrate, superintendent of police and State Excise department Superintendent get 1 lakh each for passing the Liquor License for "Bar and Restaurant" .
2. There is a lottery system in Class One Civil Servants for acquiring the Post in Creamy Districts in all over India.
3. North Indian Class one officer's lobby always get the big cut from the most corrupt parts across the India.
Sometime if they want some time off, they request for some enquiry or allegation against them and get suspended.. They get leave, half pay during suspension and when they get clean chit from enquiry, they get rest of their salary back.. Means free holiday
Not only him, there are so many candidates who used fake certificates of EWS, disability and other things… surprisingly they’re still in system while their names are in fake candidates but no action yet.
Find some who appeared in upsc mains in 2022 at Prayagraj uppsc exam hall, and ask about chit controversy that happened during optional paper II and how candidates were threatened when they went to meet center coordinator.
Why didn't you take it up with UPSC? What stopped you from doing that? And these are one off events buddy. Aise har exam m hote h, UPSC is no different. Itna bada desh m kuch centres fraud hote h. But you cannot portray a minority and generalize that mains is rigged. Itna hi bada scam hota toh, itne log exam nahi likhte. I know the system is not fully transparent, issues like candidates with fake certificates do come up, but calling an entire system fraud because of a few inconsistencies is not fair.
Every civil servant is honest and ethical and by the introduction of ethics paper civil servants have made the country corruption free !
This is the only comment which talks about the secret. I already knew about everything else mentioned in the comments. This is something new. A secret
Secret btana tha bhai fantasy nhi
And India has actually surpassed Sweden countries in quality of life due to honest civil servants and government

Gauri tera gau bada pyaara, meintoh gaya mara akke yaha ree - Sarkari affsar
This is not secret but 80% of civil servants have either bad professional or personal life. It's rare that their wife dont cheat on them
AI child
Why would their wives cheat ?
The superiority complex of many Upsc selected officers is prevalent in Their office and their homes
They do cheat duh😭
Are you assuming civil servants to be just men?
They are Men. Especially Older generation i.e. before 2010
Most of them are corrupt so they have to face their karma

Affairs are quite common in bureaucratic circles

I get it. People choose pragmatism over love & loyalty. I can’t bring myself to do it. Kudos to the ones who can be this practical in life.

Now think what kind of IAS she/he will be
Aren’t they common everywhere now? We have many cases of people cheating around us too.
But you would think civil servants are different from rest of the crowd because of all the integrity, honesty, etc etc bullshit being fed into their brains. Fair enough
It is much higher during lbsnaa days I guess. One of my close friends husband is currently there she keeps telling all these stories every week
Yah, nowadays it is getting rampant. Nobody cares for morals anymore.
True, cheating is a new normal in urban india irrespective of gender and occupation.

I've even heard that they "swap wives" or something
That sounds like a conspiracy theory of a pervert but yeah affairs are quite common
Well I hope so that it's just a theory 🥲
Not common in India. This happens in DHA/Army circles in Pakistan.
This.

He was not IFS but a subordinate rank.
I think it's about the folks who get in via SSC and not UPSC ? IFS which happens via the UPSC, has way more power.

If a student in 11th wants to prepare for upsc how does he start from scratch? And also is it like worth it? Investing all the time? please koi answer this.
First of all a student of 11th should just focus on 12th boards and a daily newspaper is enough.
After 12th take arts, ba degree and start preparing for upsc , so that a person can clear in 1st attempt at 21 years of age.
Is it worth it??maybe yes maybe not. Depending on the individual some find job satisfaction some may not.
Overall it is definitely a good career option 👍.
What do you think about law? As a career..any thoughts?
Law is also good but a tough career to make
Law has different growth options like judiciary , corporate ,or advocate.
All are good and have great earning capacity, but have tough competition and corruption might be biggest challenge.
Connections are very important. And to be a big entity in law takes time , hardwork ,good connections.
apne kya stream choose ki h?
