Yup. I'm fact, the one time her feet are touching the ground, (at the beginning), the heels might actually help a tiny bit, by starting her a little closer to vertical.
Imma be honest cuz depending on the shoes its could put her off the normal balance than the shoes that she normally practices on due to the weight. Plus, if you have flatter or taller footwear than what you normally do, especially than what you normally do during practice, it could adjust your height and make it a bit harder to get yourself going to the stand or switching positions
I actually think they might've helped! She is most likely a gymnast, so she would be used to balancing with pointed toes. The shoes force her feet into a point, reliving some tension while she's doing her handstands. It probably doesn't help a lot, but at least a bit.
Of course, they are also just shoes, not strapped to her ankles at all, so yeah they do nothing.
As a former high school wrestler, I thought I had pretty good strength-to-weight ratio. I worked on some handstand tricks, like walking up stairs on my hands, but I never hit this level! Quite impressive.
It's called a planche and it's extraordinarily difficult, most people can't even lift their legs up parallel off the side of a bed and this lady is just going wild with it.
Tbf, it's bent arm planche. Straight arm planche is the next progression and her version is a bit easier. Still an extremely impressive strength and physique, tough.
If you're relatively fit you can learn the planche (where she is parallel with the floor) in a few years. Handstand and handstand push ups are even easier as theres no leverage advantage/disadvantage.
I actually think she may not be a gymnast just due to the form. Many gymnasts use their legs to kick up due to habit rather than starting from a stretch. Probably the most underrated move here btw, a handstand with that much control is fucking incredible.
Canadian? I find it weird that I need to include the /s tag on Reddit as well. Like , to me obvious sarcastic joke is obvious. My theory is it’s a Canadian thing. We try to make our sarcastic jokes have a deadpan delivery IRL. Now that I think of it it is weird.
That lady is in top physical condition. Actually... The video lasts almost 3 minutes as it's a compilation from her IG. I decided to cut it out for reddit not to appear as a creep 😅
That whole time I kept imagining her SO having to wait while she busts out some moves before they leave the house. C'mon, babe, we're going to be late. Again. Lol
Emma Buchanan - her insta says she's 50 which I just can't believe. Amazing strength and body control.
That is so much control and balance. Wow. How long have you been doing yoga? I am just starting to work on handstand but it is slow going. Did you have one practice that started you down this road? Crazy levels of strength, congratulations on achieving this skill.
I started doing pull ups and chin ups and after a week my lower back and even groin area started hurting. Felt like I pulled a muscle or something and I had to stop.
I'm curious how do I exercise those areas with out giving myself a hernia or something...?
Love that she shows her failing as she's learning. Being honest about not being perfect right away really helps others to see that with dedication they can also achieve great things.
To be fair, not sure her shoes mattered much.
Exactly what I came to say.
Amazing strength everywhere on her body. Absolute insane muscle control.
But her feet never touched the ground, so whether she had Elmo slippers or 8” heels on, they really have no bearing on her talent/skill.
If she was running a 5k in heels, it would be a different story, but as it stands, her footwear doesn’t matter.
As it stands I see what you did there…
Yup. I'm fact, the one time her feet are touching the ground, (at the beginning), the heels might actually help a tiny bit, by starting her a little closer to vertical.
And nor does her dress come to think about it. But seriously, incredible control. Amazing.

She had shoes on ????
They class up the display of…strength, grace, skill, quality woodwork, and beauty.
Not sure what she wore matters much either
I bet she does this at every party and AARP meeting.
Shoes complete the outfit.
This seems like the most comfortable circumstance to wear them really.
To be fair, I'm not sure the dress made any difference either...
Right? Or the dresses for that matter. Doesn't feel like they made it any harder or even more impressive.

If only I had even a tenth of the core and arm strength of this fine specimen. Those triceps be poppin’ queen!
Serious!! Check out the Gun Show!!! That’s some dedicated work going on there
As a former high school wrestler, I thought I had pretty good strength-to-weight ratio. I worked on some handstand tricks, like walking up stairs on my hands, but I never hit this level! Quite impressive.
That transition from handstand to parallel with the floor!!
It's called a planche and it's extraordinarily difficult, most people can't even lift their legs up parallel off the side of a bed and this lady is just going wild with it.
Absolutely awesome strength and skill.
Tbf, it's bent arm planche. Straight arm planche is the next progression and her version is a bit easier. Still an extremely impressive strength and physique, tough.
I was so impressed
How about the woodwork in that house!?
Literally everything about this video is beautiful
That spotless carpet too. Like that house was plucked out of a magazine ad.
Plot twist: She's a realtor and she does this every time she shows the house.
Right? She is living the dream.
And the hearth like omggg
Woodwork.
Heh. I got some wood to work.
Notice the door in the background changed?
Someone got money
One of the other comments gave her name as Emma Buchanan, looked her up to see if she was a gymnast or something. Turns out it's yoga and SHE'S FIFTY!
I gotta start doing yoga
But surely trained as a gymnast, right? The form was impeccable!

No idea, got stuck at "50" and didn't look deeper into it
Yea, this is yoga… but yea, insane upper body strength.
Goals
I'll just wait till I'm fifty.
Her own page says yoga, calisthenics, and gymnastics. This isn't the result of just yoga (but yoga is phenomenal for those of us over 40)
OK. Now she's just showing off.
/s. <-- 4 da dumb
No need to be sarcastic. She is showing off, and rightly so.
I cannot win.
/s
No need to be sarcastic. You can't win.
It's ok I got the joke. There are special needs people on Reddit for whom humor is, well, difficult.
Canadian? I find it weird that I need to include the /s tag on Reddit as well. Like , to me obvious sarcastic joke is obvious. My theory is it’s a Canadian thing. We try to make our sarcastic jokes have a deadpan delivery IRL. Now that I think of it it is weird.
Reddit is just looking for a shit show to erupt. It aint a Canadian thing...it's a reddit thing.
That lowering to planche is no joke
One. Armed.
Bonkers level of strength and she's 50!
Holy shit
Those arms are amazing.
Who is this, asking for myself
Emma Buchanan
[deleted]
I want to get in my 50’s with this strength
Start now and keep it up. It's all journey, fitness doesn't have a destination.
I'm impressed by the honesty
SHE’S A WITCH!!!!!!
Why do you think she is a witch? Did she turn you into a newt?
I'd let her turn me into a newt!
Don’t matter what is on her feet, they never touch the ground. Wow!
Thats amazing strength and balance. I'm beyond impressed
Ma'am, I'm afraid I'll have to call the authorities. You are blatantly violating the law of gravity.
That is the most impresive display i have seen for a while. Outstanding.
Stupid gravity defying skirts #poutyface
Heels seem to be an extraneous detail
She need a license for those guns.
Wow! Your core strength is amazing!
That lady is in top physical condition. Actually... The video lasts almost 3 minutes as it's a compilation from her IG. I decided to cut it out for reddit not to appear as a creep 😅
Hey dad!, Grandma’s on TikTok again!!
She went from grandma to gym rat with crazy core strength in barely a minute.

Gravity is turned off.
Yess muscle mommy

Grey hairs fooled me, but that is a style the kids wear these days.
Impressive at 30. Unbelievable impressive at 60.
That whole time I kept imagining her SO having to wait while she busts out some moves before they leave the house. C'mon, babe, we're going to be late. Again. Lol
Emma Buchanan - her insta says she's 50 which I just can't believe. Amazing strength and body control.
Does she train with the avengers?
Amazing. Such strength and balance.
Nice stems. She has the kind of toned legs you used to see on actresses who danced in the Golden Age of Hollywood films.
Holy shit. Impressive and hot.
You couldn't stand the G forces.

WOW… Congrats 😍
Howwwww
Her dates at the door like: “Uh, yeah so reservations ready….”
That is so much control and balance. Wow. How long have you been doing yoga? I am just starting to work on handstand but it is slow going. Did you have one practice that started you down this road? Crazy levels of strength, congratulations on achieving this skill.
What song is this?
those dresses must be such nice fits if they allow her to do all that!
I’m so weak
Girls is nice but the wood work in the house is dope too
I am such a wimp.
The level of control I wish I had over my life
So hot, and impressive
Holy core strength!! Awesome
And that’s why women keep their small change in a purse and not in their pockets. :-)
The leather pants and heels unlocked the grease 2 / Michelle peifer core memory
Incredible
Why does this room look upside down
Women’s dressing standards are so strange. Isn’t hair and makeup enough work? Now they also gotta also drop from a handstand into a yoga pose?!
Very impressive upper body strength!
Do you think anybody thinks that I'm a failure 'cus I go home to Starla at night?
neither those 2 garments are of significantly importance
She seems to have a lot of shoes
She’s really good 👍
💸💸💸💸💸
Out of my way I’m trying to check out that door
Gotta be a former gymnast because those moves are tough.
Truly insane
Damn that house looks fine AF!
Kids, your mum needs help putting the decorations up
If its not in r/justgalsbeingchicks , its deserved to be there!
I’m 21…why can’t I do this?
Dang absolutely amazing core core strength.
Maybe stop messing about and start wondering who stole the clock.....
In one of those clips, she was wearing pants! OP is a great big phony!
Hey, my mom neglected me too!
The high heels kinda creeped me out tbh.
The amount of strength the planche requires is insane

She learned to do this because of how much of a pain it is to walk in those heels.
Amazing strength and balance!
Incredible core and upper body strength whilst also look fabulous
The strength here is crazy
Shes strong strong
Okay, aside from the fact she's a badass - how did she get her dresses to not slide down while moving around like that?? Pro moves, like damn!
Why is the clock not hung?
I started doing pull ups and chin ups and after a week my lower back and even groin area started hurting. Felt like I pulled a muscle or something and I had to stop.
I'm curious how do I exercise those areas with out giving myself a hernia or something...?
I’m impressed
Beautiful
Haha wow, that's amazing. Uh. Could she come destroy me in some way shape and form please?
Clearly the most athletic woman in all of the shire

Love that she shows her failing as she's learning. Being honest about not being perfect right away really helps others to see that with dedication they can also achieve great things.
Imagine every time you’re at a gathering and then she starts doing this shit to show off.
I can't tell but she looks older. Those first two dresses I thought I was going to see more than I wanted to see. But I was curious to see it.
Golly Ghee willikers !
Gymnast are awesome
That’s impressive!
Mom! Come on, you promised you’d act normal tonight.
I know sweetie, but this is my song and …
Damn that’s some solid core and arm strength right there

The most patient husband of all time. Sitting in the car
We obey the laws of physics in this family little missy.
Incredible display of strength and control. Wow.
Those triceps 🤮
I can barely get on all fours let alone my two hands.
Holy shit she's strong.
I've seen her before. She has amazing strength and control.
Amazing 👏🏾
Damn amazing muscle control. She is strong as hell.
Outstanding
Sensational
