I’ve had to give up the gym since I didn’t have the flexibility to go consistently anymore. I’ve got a few exercise instruments at home but was looking for a treadmill for warmups and some extra cardio. Found some nice deals on eBay but courier service was sadly as much as the actual product. I’m not on Facebook but have my friend keeping an eye on marketplace. Any suggestions please?

  • As others indicate treadmills often become clothes racks so you can usually get good second hand deals from Facebook and gumtree.

Also just wanted to say that if you want to do cardio that won't take as much space I would recommend considering a vr headset or games console. I find beat saber, VR boxing or just dance as great ways to get some cardio during the winter months when it is too cold/dark to go for my usual run.

Thank you so much! I really appreciate the recommendations 🙃 I’ll have a look on these 👍🏼

Beatsaber daily killed my bingo wings, when you work up to expert + it’s a real workout on the shoulders! I ache for days when I’ve taken a break and get back into it

  • It might be worth making a Facebook for I just had a look and by me there are some for £30 and prices going up from there to £120 with most being around £50.

I’m not on Facebook but one of my friends is keeping an eye. Nothing around me that’s worth it atm. Thank you :)

  • How about a walking pad it’s far cheaper, max speed would be 6mph which is stil pretty good

  • The real frugal advice is of course to run outside, but if you're really insistent on getting a treadmill, Gumtree is still popular.

I forgot to add, running outdoors isn’t an option due to other responsibilities I’m tied on. I’ll check gumtree. Thank you 🙏

  • I think treadmills are like exercise bikes: you will barely use it and it will just take up a lot of space while making you feel guilty!

I’m a minimalist by default. I use all the equipment that I have and i came to the conclusion that this addition will help me achieve my goals- even with the little time I have to spare- I can guarantee this won’t just take space 😇😇😇 still searching for a good deal that’s worth the money 👍🏼

I bought a treadmill (brand new though) and it's been such a good investment. Space is probably the biggest issue but I've been using mine at least 3-4 times a week. No regrets.

  • We bought a Reebok One treadmill, about £500, for my son who was a keen runner to use in winter when it was too inclement weather outside. It can go up to 16km/h, and can also incline to simulate hills.

Not sure how quickly you run, but we found a lot of the cheaper treadmills weren't very powerful, and couldn't cope with fast running.
