Yeah... I've seen the iccu issues that have plagued this model. If (when?) it happens, it should be covered under warranty, but crossing my fingers it doesn't burn me at an inopportune time.Â
Thatâs doesnât surprise me at all. I had a rear wheel drive 1976 Mazda 808 (not the rotary engine) that was one of the best winter cars I ever had. It had independent rear suspension and handled like. BMW. It was a rusted out POS bodywise but it ran like a top and never got stuck. Center of gravity and traction.
We drove from Des Moines to MSP yesterday because we didn't want to be caught in this weather. All of northern Iowa was foggy with 1/4-mile visibility and people were still driving 85mph without their headlights on.
Hey I was on that same stretch last night too! I witnessed a driver try and pass a semi on the left shoulder while easily going 90+. Absolutely bonkers.
We were around there too (driving a reasonable speed with headlights on)!
We were coming from south Texas and had planned to stop in Wichita last night and come back the rest of the way today, but with the storm coming we decided to go straight through. Not the most fun weâve ever had, but we made it in safe around 9:30 this morning!
Thanks! I had watched the news last night and noted down some information to keep handy for this mornings drive. If i had the time to wait it out i wouldâve.
There seems to be a bunch of âitâs just snowing, stop making it sound so badâ people in some of these threads.Â
Apparently taking blizzard warnings seriously or reporting where itâs been tricky is bugging them. Or perhaps somebody mistakenly thought I was being sarcastic, which I wasnât. That pic says a lot!
Howâd it go? We are supposed to go to a friends birthday party today but are seriously considering just bailing. Iâm worried about the 45min drive across town
I used to have the exact same car. It was surprisingly great in the snow.
Me too! I swear, I could push snow down the road with the bumper with no problem. I was impressed with my mini
It so far is ok đ ive mostly driven AWD so im not completely used too it yet
Is this an EV? It looks plugged in. I thought they still only had smaller batteries. Iâve been considering getting one myself.
Yup! Cooper SE, and yes they had the smallest batteries on the market rn in winter i get about 100 miles at 100%
Holy wow! That is short. Loving my kia EV6 these days
Yeah its insane; range gets âbetterâ in the summer though i should be getting around 150 miles 180 if im being range efficient
I feel rage when I hear people enjoying there KIAâs, such a shit company. Glad youâve had better luck with them.

Obligatory, check 511 app or website for updated road conditions! Itâs handy to see the traffic and plow cameras to judge real time conditions.

Iâll show my wifeâs family to show them it could be done. They wouldnât let us go home today
Driving to Sioux Falls and back today. Half done and quite enjoying myself actually lol
Nice
I am just looking out the window and itâs a little nerve racking
Stay warm inside đ
The âpicture is worth a thousand wordsâ post. Glad you made it safely.Â
Idk why you got downvoted but thanks!

No yeah i saw your comment i thought i meant a lot of words too. Snow on only the front of the clean vehicle showing the sheer amount i went through

Stay in the cities, roads were bad but a lot better then up north. Winds made it so hard to keep control
Roads suck. Would stay home.
Don't do it.
