You are correct. He did not tell people to "attack the Capitol". He did say many inciteful things. "Fight like hell, or we're going to lose this country" etc.
Neither did Trump; I heard what he told them the day before. It is interesting that Alzheimer Joe pardoned the evil-doers of Jan 6 and then deleted all their correspondence. It was a set up anyone with a brain can see and 1600 patriots went to jail. The FBI undercover started the insurrection. They got pardoned via Joe.
He never told anyone to do anything other than be peaceful. There are photos and videos or there was of the security and police letting the ppl through.

Then they went into the capital so the electoral college said if they are gonna act like that we are certifying the election. I watched it in real time and read the transcripts again. That guy the day before said we need to go in the capital. Three busses of people showed up and stormed the gates. I had friends that were there and didn't go in. They saw everything though.
