  • I have this too , its a demonic attack in my opinion.

Satan wants us to be confused and to overreact because that means theres a part of us that doesnt trust what John says of Jesus

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us." 1John 1:9-10

If we believe that then when we confess, we need to have confidence in this promise. What Satan does is he makes us obsess over our uncleanliness instead of rest in Christs.

It's a brutal cycle of violence and self-harm.

I know its hard brother believe me, When I sin my whole life and my broken heart is laid bare in front of me and I worry about everything sometimes for days , sometimes for weeks. Sometimes it even makes it hard to read the bible because all I can see is the reflection of my inadequacies.

It's all an evil lie..... but what's the truth ?

"For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Jerimiah 29:11

That means our future is in God's hands and his will is to give us hope and a prosperous future even if in the present we are being persecuted by an unseen enemy inside of us who twists our minds and exploits our hearts.

    OCD is brutal

I pray that he heals us both and that he strengthens you and gives you peace.

You are not alone and I love you.

  • I'm not really sure I can give much helpful advice regarding your situation aside from giving you a basic principle. Which is that it's more important to actually stop the sin you're committing than it is to just confess it. Since it is written:

James 1:22 22 But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves

With that being said, if you have already ceased from the sin and are just generally paranoid about it, then that's definitely not from the holy spirit.

  • if you have or think you have OCD, you should go seek medical help
