Just been diagnosed with proctitis trauma from anal sex had my colonoscopy yesterday and confirmed that the last fck I had was enjoyable but rough but no pain he drove it hard and deep but luckily came in me quickly.
Been in pain the last few months in the stomach/ large bowl, colon/ sigmoid area and have been bleeding. The findings are my colon nerves and mucus lining are very inflamed and white and a lot of the blood vessels that should sit on top the mucus wall lining surface have gone possible scare tissue built up over the surface.
They also noted my colon had been altered in a way it should naturally sit and the internal mucus lining has deformed in placed from abrasion of anal sex and toys.

That is not what happens to almost anybody in the course of regular anal play and intercourse, even relatively rough fucking. I would be much more suspicious of the toys you were using and how you were using them. If they were too hard, too abrasive, or composed of materials that were not body-safe, or induced either an allergic or immune reaction in your body, that might explain some of what happened. Extremely rough play with toys can cause soreness and bleeding, and this is a particular risk if you do so under the influence of any substances that keep you from noticing pain that would warn you to stop. But there have been men who have on multiple occasions jackhammered my hole as hard and fast as they could with large and sometimes quite firm toys, and while it took some endurance to get through it, the experiences never left me with any lasting effects.
If you bleed then this can cause scar tissue if not left to heal correctly. My post is not doom or gloom to the bottom guys I'm just sharing my experience of being a vers guy. But the last two meets I had and one guy larger than the other especially girth very girthy I did bleed and the reason I had colonoscopy is a week after that sex and bleed I had a huge internal bleeding one day with chronic pain so ended up in AE hence colonoscopy was given as an emergency.

(To answer the question in the title of your post, I’m not sure you can have too much anal - I can’t get enough of it - but you can get too much bad anal, for sure. One bad one is too much of that.)
Fully understand what you are saying and I was in your position just 3-4 weeks enjoying meets and play time knew nothing. Let's be honest here when you cut your arm you see it but any form of penetration especially anal we cannot see what is being done internally, we don't have a camera at home we can stick up our bottoms. We only go by feeling and observation like bleeding etc . Surgeon here (but not colorectal). I assume they did infection testing also, for not only chlamydia/gonorrhea but also syphlis/herpes/LGV and other GI infectious (salmonella/giardia); these would be the most common causes of proctitis in a bottom and can be treated. If not, make sure you see an LGTB+ informed STI clinic for testing and explain/share your reports. Your specialist also should have done a biopsy to assess for Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD, two types: Crohn’s or ulcerative colitis). Proctitis is typically very treatable and depending on how things go most men are able to bottom again (carefully).

They have taken 7 biopsy from me as the concern is my internal colon muscles should look red with good healthy blood flow but there very white, pal and swollen and the camera showed the blood vessels you normal see on the surface are covered with what seems to be scar tissue with micro tears, im awaiting results of the biopsy as it was taken a day ago. I treat my sexual health very seriously and get about every 2 months and my last one was Dec 1 Dec 2025 all clear and a new test done a week ago awaiting results. In 2025 I had 6 sexual health screenings and all clear.
That sounds very much how my colon looked when I received my Crohn's diagnosis years ago. Unless the guy had a barbed cock I'd be surprised to see major damage from anal sex, and especially not that sort of widespread alteration of the lining of the colon. I'm not a doctor, just a guy who suffered through Crohn's starting in my late twenties.
What you're describing doesn't sound like a consequence of any anal sex I've ever heard of, not even fisting. Minor tearing, sure. With fisting, even some risk of perforation. A little blood, not uncommonly, but not a seriously diseased gut. Even quite small guys routinely get fucked regularly with very large dicks without suffering injuries. I did get fucked a few times by guys with super long dicks that fucked into the sigmoid and collided with the wall of it and left it feeling bruised. That healed quickly, but I suppose if one of them had been fucking me daily I might have developed chronic inflammation in that spot. That would still be very different from the widespread inflammation you have.
As for the colon dislocation, I wonder if he's simply seeing a minor effect of anal sex that he isn't familiar with. The sigmoid, in particular, often gets straightened out by a very long cock fucking into it. This is ordinary and not serious, just a minor rearrangement of a part of the colon that isn't anchored at that end. It takes an exceptionally long dick for that to happen.
As another said, I'd seriously consider a reaction to whatever your toy(s) are made of, or possibly the kind of lube you've been using. Those seem more likely to cause widespread proctitis than ordinary fucking.

Uh, getting fucked inevitably requires stretching the sphincter. The point is to stretch it to where it is fatigued and no longer clamping down tightly. It bounces back from that readily enough once the cock is removed. Guys who bottom regularly do have their sphincters grow slightly and they don't press closed as tightly, but still strongly enough to do their job. All muscles elongate if they're stretched regularly.
Not a doctor, but make sure you’re taking daily fiber supplement. I take 20g of psyllium husk fiber powder a day. You might also want to consider taking a pre and probiotic supplement for the rest of your life!

Ah. IBS, too. Now that makes me wonder if it is actually Crohn's or maybe Ulcerative Colitis that was misdiagnosed as IBS. The symptoms have so much overlap, and without doing biopsies (as you just have), a definitive diagnosis is difficult.

There is a big difference between a standard doctor and surgical specialist.

The difference is that surgeons do surgery. Their diagnostic skills are not necessarily better (and can be a lot worse). A GI doc who treats patients like you all day long can have a better idea of causes than a guy who spends his days performing intestinal resections and cleaning out fistulas. I also think jumping right to blaming anal sex is questionable and possibly homophobic. Anal sex is not known for causing problems like this and there are a number of other conditions that are.
