• I forgot about the red stig! Still wonder what that scene was about.

Also being the cameraman on the back of a motorcycle takes some serious skill

I think he was called the Stig’s communist cousin (maybe why it was removed from the episode, though his appearance is still in the montage at the start of the season). I’d love to know what the challenge was that he would’ve been in, if the trio had to try to beat a lap time set by the Stig’s cousin or if he would drive each of their motorbikes around a track to see which is the fastest.

Iirc it got cut because Richard's bike was fastest by a country mile

That makes sense too. Them standing in front of each of their bikes right before they stopped was interesting, with Hammond holding his helmet over his crotch (for protection) and James a jock strap (for the same reason), whether that was part of the challenge or just them doing it for laughs/the fun of it.

  • I always wondered if that hot blonde that started Jeremy‘s scooter was actually part of the crew and you can actually see her in that last shot. So maybe?

I think it was Richard Porter’s book where he shared Jeremy met her in a bar the night prior to the start of the journey

Lucky dog haha but really interesting to know! thanks for the share!

  • Watched this episode on Boxing Day. Never gets boring
