If a TV needs to be tilted because it's so far outside of your line of vision, it's too high! And it's above a fireplace! TVs clash with fireplaces. They're both too much of a focal point to be stacked.
1 hang ART above the fireplace, you already have a high hat ceiling light to help display it
2 GET A WOODEN TRIPOD TV STAND, place it to the right of the fireplace, lose the chair, replace cabinet with tv, angled into the seating area. You will lose the right window but sacrifices need to be made here.
3 move that terrible cabinet behind you. don't spend half your life looking at the side profile of it.
Apologies as I don’t own a tv and haven’t since wallmounts have been a thing, but what’s the issue with tilting the tv? Are these tvs supposed to be straight eye line, like a monitor?
My sofa goes into zero gravity angle, or feet up and slightly inclined, both positions, I would think a tilt would be ideal. I’ve never sat on my sofa or chairs straight on, as if sitting at a kitchen table.
Can someone kindly explain this to me, please?
I have this very same setup, of a much too high fireplace and I’ve been considering a tv with wall mount but uncertain of what size and now, angle! I could use any suggestions or explanations.
There's nothing to settle, there is no debate. That tv is too high and that is full on tilt of guilt. End of
well now. . . lets say we move the fireplace up three feet, then raise the floor 3 feet and, presto!!! melted TV not too high!!!
Honestly it looks more like "mantle too high"

Too high! Too tilt!
That TV is way too high.
All the same responses you got 15 hours ago wasn't enough? Looks to me like the debate was settled already.
Tv goes where the couch is
i would agree but problem is, then your home's front entrance is behind you.
This is bad energy for a living room. You will subconsciously feel vulnerable if you cant see who's leaving or entering your home. Bad Chi.
Too everything
Looks like Randy Marsh had a field day in there.
“Heads Up Display”
Its brilliant. Tilting the screen tricks the brain into thinking the TV is eye-level and the room decor is pleasing.
Awful
Yikes at that height and tilt !
I like the rest of the space but the tv is definitely too high and fully tilted
Terrible
The first thing I noticed was that absolutely butchered Xmas tree.
My gawd, thank you. I’m like… how is no one saying this!!!!
There is no debate. You are here.

Way the fuck too high.
Just put it on the ceiling at this point….

How to Arrange Furniture Around a Fireplace: Best Layouts
Too high for sure
There is no debate, whoever supports a mounted TV over the fireplace is the...
High or Low doesn't matter. you put a heat sensitive electronic device over a fireplace. That is the ultimate tech illiterate / normie thing to do.
That shi looks horrible ngl.
don't overthink it

Who TP’d the tree?
Take it away from the fireplace. Settled. Your welcome.
No mounted tv should need tilt. If it needs tilt it is in the wrong position.
