I get it! I found a huge Prada bag for $30 once!! The things people just flippantly get rid of is crazy to me!
That’s crazy!! Yours is actually an insane find, I worked at goodwill full time for 3 years as a pricer of non clothing items (they call the hardlines lol) in an area where a lot of wealthier people would donate even, and I never saw a real Prada bag come through!! A fake one here and there, but never a real one! We did get lots of real Louis Vuitton though, but my GM would just send it to the e-commerce center for shopgoodwill.com anyways lol 🙄
I sat there and authenticated it in the store and asked them why they hadn’t done that and were selling it for so little and she said that if they authenticated it and it comes back as fake they can’t sell it at all, so they don’t authenticate them at all and sell them as is to get any money from them. I knew as soon as I saw it that it was real though. You can’t fake that kind of craftsmanship. It was red leather inside and out and HEAVY and big! Probably between $3-4K new. Too big for me to wear so I ended up giving it to my mom. I had pictures of it but can’t find them now. Truly a beautiful bag.

Indeed!! I’m a collector of fiesta so was pretty happy with that find, I never see the deviled egg platters at thrifts! At least not for under $15 in good condition these days lol
