Looked up the park, I don't think I would personally like it too much (pretty but I don't do sun or heat well) but that isn't a problem with the park. See, I do RESEARCH before going places to see if they work well for me.
My sister and her family used to live near there, and the kids loved going to White Sands and sliding down the dunes on sleds. They also did some camping out there.
I’ve visited it before, and in the summer no less, it was surprisingly cool, both in the heat and interest way, was a lot of fun sliding down sand dunes, it was so smooth and there were absolutely no rocks anywhere, just sand, you could go sand boarding and the view was incredible, I highly recommend it
I had a family member complain to me that there were no toys in my house for her kids and she feels like “it’s a museum at your place”. She was extremely angry when I informed her I wouldn’t be changing that, it’s working as designed. The house and everything in it is for my husband and my needs or wants, not her kids. I’m pretty sure the museum comment comes from having art that wasn’t finger painted, and having a clean floor.
… what did she think the checks notes WHITE SAND national park would have? They don’t usually build playgrounds in National Parks for good reason.
A national park based on a natural geographic feature should at least have a mall. /s
Built by a single guy in a forest with a knife and a q-tip.
A waterpark, obviously.
And the Grand Canyon is just a big hole.
Why do so many of these kind of people have to exist
Why do they keep breeding?
And it’s never just one!! It’s multiple!!
Because it’s the one thing they are good at

I don‘t have toys at my house either and you know what my friends with kids do? They bring toys for the kids to play with.
It would be creepy for you to just have toys at your house but no kids… (not including collectibles of course)
Ya want creepy? There’s nothing like the sound of a baby’s laughter. Especially at 3am when you live alone.
I would like the opposite of that thank you. That’s terrifying! Lol
I think the opposite is even more terrifying: a room full of kids in the middle of the day, and there’s absolute silence.
I dunno man ghost baby at 3am wins in my book
How dare they not destroy a natural park to build a playground!
This reminds me of the artist Amber Share who takes snippets of negative park reviews and turns them into retro travel ads.

My teens spent hours sliding down the sand hills and searching for critters. Took a picnic lunch and relaxed while watching my kids have fun.
