I won't tell you how many months we had boxes scattered around a room after moving in. I didn't have the motivation to deal with the mess "like an adult", so I had a different idea.. 😂
yes my cats love chasing them too, I myself have a stack of boxes for them! I was just trying to inform just in case the op didn't know because I myself didn't until it was pointed out to me. I live in Texas and we used to get tree roaches like once a month and my cats terrorized them to the point we haven't seen them since the first three months we lived here, I love my pest controllers.
Roach attracted so don’t leave any space the cat can’t get into unless they flush enough to the wall to prevent roaches, hard to do. With most cats they will not exist for long anywhere cat can get at them.
Actually, it is the ghost of the Chiefs watching you through the TV. Great fort for you cat. I bet your cat has a lot of fun. I see him peering out to make sure you are ok.
Mom's side is devoutly Catholic while Dad's side is devoutly Assemblies of God. So I went to church twice on Sunday, and oh boy were they different services. To spice that up one of my grandfathers were a Baptist preacher. I'm an atheist now
Parents shop at Costco. I shop at Walmart. Considering I eat basically the same few foods on repeat it would sure make sense to buy in bulk. But honestly, I hate driving new places and I'm comfortable driving to Walmart
This one makes me suspicious you looked me up and did some digging. Or maybe you just guessed by the books? Anyway, I've been historically obsessed with progression fantasy novels. Predominantly Chinese translated web novels
Always did well in school, particularly in math. But was eternally plagued by the dilemma- my temperament makes me suitable for tech but my passion is in psychology. I ended up following tech and got an associates in electrical engineering. Passed the scary generic math classes like Calc 3, DiffEq, Physics 2, exc. But I burned out taking what should've been the stupidly easy, circuits 1. Proceeded to fall from heaven to hell and work on an assembly line for 3 years. This last year I've been balancing on the brink of suicide, but thanks to my good ol pal lithium I'm clawing my way out. Will I work in technology after this or will I continue to dig drainage ditches like I do now? Only time will tell
Whether or not you investigated my profile for leads, or just used this image (which would be extra neat), this was fun!
Purely from the image! First of all you are a Reddit user so that says a lot. Honestly "technology sector" would be my default guess for anyone on Reddit. The root beer was the only clue for mormon but it looked like the chips were bulk so I guessed Costco and just wrote the narrative from there.
I zoomed in on the bookshelf and saw "GLOW" which came back to what I think is a different book that is erotic fantasy. I don't think it was the same book but I thought "Whatever let's just roll with it"
Thank you for your brilliant response. May the flying spaghetti monster bring you good fortune!
OP provided the following hint to where the cat is hiding:
Fort Sam requires a lookout from up high to stand guard
Did you build a fort out of boxes for your cat?!? How cool is that. I dont think I ever saw that.
I won't tell you how many months we had boxes scattered around a room after moving in. I didn't have the motivation to deal with the mess "like an adult", so I had a different idea.. 😂
Your cat thanks you for that 😬
the roaches do too!
I love it but roaches are highly attracted to cardboard because they eat the paper and glue, and they love dark places
Free edible cat toys? This just keeps getting better

I love this, I did the same thing with moving boxes and a big TV box!
that's amazing, I have made a long one on the floor before, but not a whole castle!
I sooo need to do this I have a bunch.
At first i thought the cat tree was blocked by all those boxes, until i realized the boxes are additions!
I want to see a better picture of the cat…from what I see the face is similar to a cat I used to have.
What a fun looking box fort!
I'm glad you like it! My Fiancée left to go babysit for someone one night. While she was there she helped build a pillow fort for the kids. Then when she came home she discovered I had built a fort too!
Knowing me, she was nonplussed
My cat wants to come visit you. Because she "only" has 5 boxes, 3 beds, 62 toys, 45 feet of bubble wrap, and her own couch. Poor wee thing. 😹😹
Why are you so bad to your cat? Poor kitty 🤣
Definitely a case of animal neglect
Am I going to get a soo? 😹😹
She certainly thinks so. 😹😹
More on Fort Sammie
Some photos
(Low quality) Tour
i thought your fiancé(e) made you take it down?!
She did 🥲 I'm not sure whether I have any photos of Sam being sneaky around fort 2.0 yet
That's amazing, thanks for sharing!
Now that you’ve built them an impenetrable fortress, nothing shall stop them from RULING THE WORLD!
Right after this nap. Maybe….
Awesome cat condo
I can't find the cat ðŸ˜
Actually, it is the ghost of the Chiefs watching you through the TV. Great fort for you cat. I bet your cat has a lot of fun. I see him peering out to make sure you are ok.
There are 3 different spots where I thought there was a cat curled up near the opening of a box and only realized it was a blanket after your hint XD
NGL, I zoomed in on the bag of chips first...
That's where mine would be hiding if I ever left one unattended. There would just be intense rustling noises and then a cat would emerge, seasoned.
That is quite the cat Castle. Very impressive!!
That box tree is genius! Your cat must be in heaven!
"It always feels like somebody's watching meee."
"I ain't got no privacy"
I want a fort like that!!!
A&W? Nice.
Very stealthy
First of all…the cat post made out of cardboard boxes, genius!!
That’s one hecking awesome Cat Fort.
Pssh, Redditors get so paranoid 😂!
Also, this recycled cat fortress is amazing! The ultimate manifestation of the eternal love between cats and boxes.
i have a bunch of boxes I have been saving to do exactly this. Do you have any tips for creating the box fort?
Looks like you created some air vents which is cool, I didnt think of that
Oh I see that little face 🥹ðŸ˜
I had the same idea once but my cats are assholes who piss and shit on the boxes so the fort would last a day.
Cool 😎
I see a little Tuxie face in the living room box!
We built a cardboard cat tree for our guys too!! But we used hot glue instead of tape and it held together really well!!
👀
Am I seeing a tux? Or did I got it wrong?
That’s dope.
Hot take: you were raised mormon. Shop at Costco. You like slightly trashy fantasy novels. You work in the technology sector.

I love that you did this for your baby
