that’s it, he been 100% since day one and even when he wrong he admits it. feel bad his husband so wack he had to goon it in the simulator but his understanding surrounding his kid peak good dad. salute bortus.

  • Of course he’s a good dad, there making fun of Startrek next gen, warf is such a bad dad they need to make bortus extra good to compensate

I think it's become greater than Srartrek now

I want to disagree with you. But Star Trek feels a bit outdated at times and some morale stances in TNG and Voyager feel so problematic by todays standard which goes against what Starfleet is.

Orville has the benefit of being able to tell more modern stories, like the like dislike planet. Star Trek always felt like it leaned too into the outdated. Hearing a man who flys through space say "dear lord, didnt any of you build ships in a bottle when you were younger?" in a room of young scifi dudes feels disconnected. And Topa is the antithesis of Riker grooming some asexual species into wanting to be female which wouldnt fly so well today.

And Modern Star Trek feels like it's too scared to face any real meaningful morale delimmas or feels like it's so far up it's own ass that it no longer feels like Star Trek. Not to mention to classic look we love Star Trek for is gone. Lookin at you Section 38 movie.

  • Listen, fair play to him, top lad!

  • Yeah, he never just forgot he had a kid like a similar warrior race on another show.

  • This is one of the main reasons Bortus is my favorite character, the other being the pure comedy that surrounds his everyday life. I'm also a girl dad (five of them) and I did the single parent thing for several years before I met my current wife.

  • Bortus is unironically my goat. 10/10 would try his cooking and be polite about it
