O may be more accurate than u in several greek names translated like that. A lot of them got translated to Roman, where a lot of names ended with us, and got romanized, but the original pronounciation is closer to os than us.

To the besr of my knowledge it's unclear how the two know eachother or whether they knew their respective exploits (IE, does Outis know Moses was The Udjat's Leader?). Furthermore Outis has been pretty deliberate in avoiding identifying details up until now.
I think Outis's reaction might be as much that Moses is so casually piercing that veil as much as the content within the statement.
I don't think Outis knows Moses, or she atleast can't recognize her. Moses knows Outis though. In canto 7 and canto 9 i'm pretty sure it was stated that Moses was looking at Outis, not that they were looking at eachother. I don't think Outis would say that if it was just about talking about it.
