Niles! Hands down is the favorite character. His biting wit is what makes that show and without him if he wasn't on an episode I'd probably wouldnt watch it.
They’re both very underrated imo. Niles is hilarious but I wish normies who don’t really watch the show knew another character. Brighton, Val, and Yetta also deserve more recognition.
Fran and Niles wouldn't shine as bright if they didn't have a worthy opponent who could give as well as take. Her sarcastic repartee with Niles is wonderful. Her physical comedy is golden.

Yetta, she never fails to make me laugh when she pops up.
My favorite Yetta moment (besides terrifying Brighton out of smoking) was when she was backstage somewhere and alone.
She straightened up, did some lovely, graceful dance moves, but when Fran called for her, she slumped back down into Yetta mode.
