First off I am disgusted and embarrassed I came here to not only praise the company but to share a coupon code. I regret that so much. I don’t have Twitter or Facebook or any social media outside Reddit but please feel free to share.

Ugh so long story short. Canyon group started making robes again. I was stoked. For Black Friday they had a 35% off deal. So I jumped at it and bought the infamous heart robe. They promised a 6 week turn around as the robes were made o order. After a hot minute they apologized and said the volume was higher than they projected and offered me $100 off. Which I came here to share and some poor soul took me up on it; I’m sorry it that was you. I meant well. Well it’s been 214 days since I’ve ordered and I’ve yet to get a robe. We’ve emailed. They made excuses and apologies. But no change. As of 2-3 weeks ago we were promised it would come out in the next batch. I’ve seen one person say they ordered their robe after me and receive it but still super late. I’m absolutely done. I’m a small business owner myself so I tried to be patient but this is just beyond. Do not order from this company. Just go to eBay. At least you will get the robe. Which is what I did for the fight club coffee mug robe. Got it brand new in the box is 5 days. I’m so sorry to those of you who might have seen my post and ordered. I meant well and had faith. If you ordered and have yet to receive your robe, please message me. I can and will make legal waves. I refuse to be ripped off for hundreds for a damn robe.

Years ago I had a small company take forever to send me an item. But they showed me verifiable proof their warehouse and manufacturing facility literally burnt down. They also kept me up to date all on the deals and new companies they were trying to work with. This company might as well have told me every time they sneezed….that’s how well their management did with communication. Canyon group hasn’t done anything outside of two lame ass emails.

  • OCT 2025 Update: EVERYONE PLEASE BE AWARE OF CANYON GROUP’S SCAM. I commented earlier in the year and we still haven’t received our robes. Ordered on February 2nd and it is now October 13th. They keep claiming they had a fire which is doubtful at this point. They are still advertising on instagram and actively running promos. Here are screenshots of my convo via instagram:

There was delays after fire and we have been answering emails at info@canyongroup.com  The robe that is featured at the Hollywood Museum was made after the fire for Fran Drescher. So we have been working since the day after the fire where firefighters were injured and stock of hour and hours of work gone. we were even more devastated and we are working to get everyone who ordered fulfilled.  We have successfully delivered 1000s of robes since our relaunch. Crying here won’t help you. Email canyon group asap.

  • I just found this thread because I ordered 3 weeks ago, my card was charged but I never received a confirmation email with an order number. So I emailed customer service just to make sure the order went through and to get an order number (told them I appreciate the order will take time but I just wanted to make sure it was received since my card was charged.). NO response back after 2 emails sent in 2 weeks, then tried to call the 833 number on their website, which is nonfunctional. Found another 714 number which has been disconnected. In desperation messaged them on instagram and received a response asking for my order number and that they will get status, and as of today have heard nothing back.

    Hearing these other posts, I'm planning to contact my credit card and file a dispute.

    OK I heard back after finding the correct number on my credit card statement (it's wrong on their website). 833-922-6966. Got my order number now. So...we shall see!

  • I ordered 2 robes from canyon group for Christmas 2024. I waited over 2 months with back and forth updates. They would keep stringing me along sent me emails saying that customers who ordered and paid an extra fee were moved to the front of the line. They even called me and the person said she was one of the owners and had an English accent. Promised me the next day my robes would be made and delivered. Never happened. I did some research I suspected a scam. I would strongly suggest you contact your credit card company and get your money back. I did.

    Just think about this. Most people are trusting and like to believe people are honest. So they get your money and keep it for several months. They can use your money to invest and then when you finally get your money back they are in the clear. And keep on going with a lot of money to invest. Hopefully this is not what they are doing but are not so good at managing a company.

  • Same experience here. I ordered one in the beginning of January. Have been continually strung along with nonsense excuses and lies (currently in production, shipping in 2 weeks, going out in next batch, etc.) for months. I feel extra dumb for spending the money on the “rush my order” option to allegedly have my robe shipped in 2 weeks. Well it’s been 26 weeks and nothing. It’s wild to see that they are still promoting their nonexistent products on Instagram, even had a 4th of July sale! Comments are of course turned off.

But you can get a used one from eBay. Sorry for your experience but high demand and a fire caused huge delays. But we are back at full speed. Birkin wait time of 6-24 months. So it’s know that handmade products are worth the wait.  30 years of prestigious history and a quality durable. Tufting from machines that are not in existence anymore. Anyone who has ever had a canyon group robe will tell you it’s worth the wait. 

    Your life is supposed to include responding to your customers and completing your paid job. Stop taking new orders so you can finish your paid purchases.

    Get a life.  We are set to be released in stores everywhere. 30 years of business could never be scam. Our robe was just placed in the Hollywood Museum in California. We sent that robe to Brenda who was frans stylist.  We are set to be in multiple new films.  So it’s easy for you to come on here and be a little domestic terrorist but we are great Americans who has had a rough relaunch but we are weathering the storm and people have gotten their robe and many people from this thread have been contacted.  We didn’t expect to get thousands of orders and we had to staff up then have a fire happen is a lot for a company in first 8 months of relaunching back then.  Canyon Group is located in Dalton ga. We are a small family business since 1991.  We made the mistake in not knowing how ICONIC we are.  To all those still waiting we are shipping and still creating the best robes ever.  

    And Im not a PR or a AI bot. I’am â real person who works for these good people down here in Dalton and I saw this and wanted to clarify lies with the truth.  I work 12 hour shifts to feed my children working everyday for canyon group and everyone there works really hard. You have no idea.  I think the problem is everyone is using chatGPT to think for them and write every word we forget real interaction.   • Shock of all shock. I ordered a robe from them and paid for it 10 months ago and it just came by USPS! I had given the whole thing up as a scam. I don’t get it. 🤷🏻‍♀️

  • Got an email today that they had a fire in April 2025 and it burned to the ground. They told customers that they were renovating, a lie. I ordered in December 2-24 and still nothing. I have requested to return my money and still nothing. Very poor crisis management. Be very aware. They continue to take new orders. 8 months and waiting. Contacted my credit card but that can take months. Very disappointed.

  • I was ready (freddy) to order TODAY. Somehow I stumbled here. Now I'm not going to get the robe that I so covet. Had the moon/stars in the 90's and I so loved it. Wish there was a store here in So Cal where I could buy one. (sigh)

  • I ordered in February and have sent multiple emails requesting a shipping date or at the least an estimated time frame and also requested information on getting a refund and canceling in my last email and they didn’t even address that. They only did the typical bs about how it will probably go out in the next batch and they’re short staffed etc. If they’re so short staffed and behind on orders maybe they should stop advertising and taking orders. I feel like they stole my money at this point.

    Some of the biggest brands that have millions of dollars behind them have extreme wait times for product when the demand is high. We are no different except we handcraft each robe so we did have to add more staff in middle of a relaunch. Training a staff a lost art of tufting in a short period of time was challenging but we are better equipped today.  Our mistake was not letting everyone know about the fire when it happened. We are sorry for that. We will release a video of damage from fire. 

    Hundreds of people have received their robes and are very happy.  Wome people are delayed due to high demand and the fire we had. Some people are buying from unauthorized dealers as we are the only place to buy a new canyon group robe.     Hello just seeing this. But you canceled your order didn’t you? First we dealt with having to staff up and train.  From Black Friday demand   After the fire we lost hours of work our merchandise .  But now people are receiving their orders.  We just did a custom robe for a nice lady for her wedding which we posted.  Sorry for your experience we sent emails to everyone explaining our first 12 months back and the challenges we faced. We are still a American company that’s not going to ship our jobs overseas.  We are manufacturing chenille and creating our precious robes from scratch.

I sent another email to them on Aug 7th for an update and waiting for them to reply. If Canyon Group is reading on here, please PLEASE help me out with order #1735. I was over the moon when I discovered the company and growing disappointed as the months roll by without receiving my robe. Let me know all if you recommend doing a charge back request on my credit card. Ugh….

    I'm getting more and more suspicious. It's true that comments are disabled for their instagram page, and numerous attempts on my part to reach them via email (the only means of communication I can find) are met with empty promises and vague answers. Most recently, I politely demanded some specific answers, telling them I'm willing to be patient but that their inconsistent and vague communication makes me suspect a scam, and I received an email apologizing saying they would forward to their manager and to expect a response in 1-2 days. Well, it's been 3 days and nothing. You are the only person I've seen on any threads who has actually received a robe. The only reason I haven't contacted my credit card company is that I do want the damn robes, and if they truly are in process, I would wait because they are so stinkin' cute.

    Canyon, just show me some proof so I can believe you're being truthful, because the way you have been communicating just smells like a scam, and if you are legitimate, I'm sure you don't want to have a bad reputation!

  • update: I did finally receive both of my robes (ordered June 23rd, received about 3 months later). That wasn't without A LOT of pushing on my part. I asked to be contacted by a manager, and I asked for video/picture proof that my robes actually did exist and were in production (I'm not a paranoid person, but when you're strung along and told conflicting things, it's hard not to be. There was still a long delay, and even after I recieved my tarcking number there was a 9 day delay until UPS had recieved the package. I don't know what the heck is going on with them, but it does seem that the regular customer service is just told to give generic answers. The manager was the one who seemed to have the actual information. Still, there was never any accountability for their way of treating customers. I would suggest emailing [mgmt@canyongroup.com](mailto:mgmt@canyongroup.com) if you want anything close to a real answer. I'm happy I finally got the robes and they are for sure cute and fun, so if you're willing to be as much of a pit bull as I was, you might actually succeed. I wish this company would take accountability for their customer service. They have a great product that I'm sure people are willing to wait for, and it would really be in their best interest to be upfront with people instead of all these shady avoidant antics!

    I’m glad to hear you received your robe, but I ordered mine in February for my wife’s birthday and still nothing despite emailing Canyon Group about once a month. They keep telling me my robe is in the next batch.

  • First I am glad everyone is okay. Minus the minor burns. Otherwise I had no idea about this fire. But the fact that I now have ordered from two small companies. Both having faced similar issues. It still comes down to communication. I had no problem waiting for the other business and their products. Was it frustrating? Sure. Did I feel informed and valued? Yes. Have I returned to this company? Yes. But I did not receive anywhere near the same communication from canyon group.

  • I'm having exactly the same experience. I ordered two months ago, and I am absolutely willing to wait, but the communication has been inconsistent and bizarre, making me suspicious this is a scam. I get that there might be a long wait for a custom-made item, and from Canyon group's defensive posts here on this thread it appears that they suffered a high volume of order combined with a fire.

    What totally doesn't track is the conflicting messages I'm getting from them. Either I don't hear back or I get an email without even asking saying they are putting the finishing touches on my robes and that I should be receiving one or both of them the week of August 11. Well, it's August 25 I have received neither, and when I emailed asking again for order status and why I haven't received the robes yet the response I got, strangely, very quickly on a Sunday, was a sincere apology and "your robes are in the final stages and should be completed in the next few weeks. We will send you a tracking number once they have shipped". I don't get it. Why would you send me an email on August 6 telling me that I should be receiving at least one of the robes the week of August 11 and now two weeks after that you're saying it's another few weeks? I emailed back right away asking for clarity and expressing my concerns, and of course I haven't heard back yet.

    I'm willing to wait if they would be honest with me, but this is flat out dishonest. I don't want to contact my credit card company yet because as I hate to admit it I really want those robes. If the communication were clear even if they told me I would have to wait eight months, I would be patient but it really feels like they're trying to string people along and pull a fast one on people and that makes it very difficult to trust that they are on the up and up

  • I have placed my order for two robes  in January after being a 30 year customer and wanted to gift my daughters a robe - I have yet to receive them or any type of notification for shipping - I have reached out at least 20 times via email - shop app and thru IG DM and comments - which now they have now disabled comments- my oldest daughters were so excited about their robes - this is so disappointing I have had my robes for close to 35 years and was so excited for them to join the club but unfortunately they have really disappointed me 

    They have been here and responded to my comments. Respond to them and shoot them a message. They still don’t hold themselves accountable. So don’t hold your breath but worth a shot.

    I HAVE one from the 90s and it's threadbare and my husband went looking to replace it not realizing the brand had died and was literally brand new starting back up when he went shopping...and now it's been a YEAR. I won't let him do a charge back coz I'm still hopeful it will arrive - silly of me, I know 😔

    I’m still waiting. I’ve yet to receive an email with my order number. They claimed it’s been sent and resent. I gave myself a deadline of 3 months before calling my credit card company.

  • I purchased a robe and received it within a few weeks. I just opened it. Each and everytime I emailed them ( I requested they make my robe a bit longer because I’m tall)they responded within a day. Very good customer experience in my opinion. My robe looks beautiful but unfortunately I feel it runs a bit on the small side and definitely not as soft and cozy like I imagined😞 just wanted to share my thoughts

    That’s amazing it worked out for you! You can see other commenters with the same struggles as myself. I finally gave up after like 8 months. I emailed a lot. My spouse emailed a lot. But we just were not given the same customer service as you. And I will the say the robes on the interior are tough at first. But once you wear them in you don’t notice it at all. I do have another robe from them but I bought BIN off eBay.

  • Just seeing this thread today. Yes we have faced a lot of challenges our first 12 months back. We do regret the huge sale Black Friday of up to 50% off although our intent was to make our vintage robes affordable for everyone but we staffed up and trained a lot of people the art of tufting. 

    Why are you having a 25% off sale right now if you have back orders of people not receiving their robes? Finish those ones first 

    We are better equipped as far as personnel goes and customers are getting their orders. We had a fire we didn’t die.  We sold to big box retailers in past, but now we offer direct to consumer and the demand no one could have imagined. Domestically Internationally.  So yes a sale for thousands of subscribers is only fair. ❤️

I have an original canyon group robe from the 90s that's too delicate to wear and was sincerely hoping for a replacement. please help? please honor old orders, even if you regret making them 50% off?

    Every order is being fulfilled.  we had a pause in production after the huge overflow of order that came the same time. And the fire set back.     This is what I had assumed happened. That’s why I had been patient at first. Eventually I reached I point where I felt like I had to reach out. I can only send so many emails and make so many calls with false promises at the end of each one. I shouldn’t have even have had to reach out. You should have been proactive.

    Then I was given a coupon. Why should I spend more money at a company I can’t rely on? Especially when I haven’t even received the first order.

  • Shortly after we had a legal matter with Shopify which they made right long after. Then was the fire which destroyed our factory. Thankfully were able to save precious machines.  We are committed to getting everyone their robes and many people have been receiving their robes. We apologize to anyone who didn’t get the proper communication.

  • You canceled your order didn’t you? A month ago.  So why would you still be waiting.  You got your money back because you didn’t want to wait.  Ok. Great.  Again. In 12 months of our relaunch we had to staff up and train over 25 employees the art of tufting.  Due to the hundreds of orders that poured in during Black Friday. Let me remind you each of our precious robes are made from a scratch. And no we won’t ship our jobs overseas just to get a knock off version of our product. Secondly we had a huge fire that was on the news that burned our factory we have had since the 90s.  We lost merchandise. Thankfully no one was hurt and we saved our equipment and our vintage machines but one big tufter that was unmovable. So yes the last 12 months have been challenging for the family owned business in Dalton Georgia. But we are alive and well and people are receiving their back orders and new orders. We recently did a custom chenille robe for a nice lady wedding and you can see the post on our Instagram.  If you have a order pending you will receive it. We are the only chenille manfacturer in United States.  🇺🇸

  • I think it’s unfair for you to say they are a scam because they had delays, their Customer Service could be better but they’re not scammers. I received both of my robes and my friend got hers. I originally ordered a robe for my wife in February, then they emailed me apologizing for delay. I was quite frustrated by this, then they said they had a fire and my robe was caught up in that.

    In May, a friend of ours ordered her robe and she received it in under four weeks. My daughter really wanted a robe so on the merit of my friend receiving her robe, I ordered one for my daughter as well. I emailed them saying that I’m still waiting for the robe in February but my daughter really wants one for her birthday so can they make sure they get these robes to me. They sent a generic response of ‘yes of course we are getting all the robes made’.

    We waited 8 weeks after ordering the second robe and received both of our robes, which are really beautiful. My wife totally loves her robe. I got her the moon and stars one and my daughter has the hearts robe, which she also loves. At first, I was disheartened by the wait and then I saw a post on TikTok showing the fire. I know it can be frustrating waiting for the robe, but we really want brand new ones and didn’t want to get one from eBay, so in the end it’s worth the wait because my wife daughter are really happy.
