A lot of people think the only way for Homelander to face justice would be to have him killed. To be honest, that doesn’t seem harsh enough. Homelander has literally ripped people in half, lasered people to death, caused supe-terrorism, and has aspirations to take over the globe and lead a genocide against humans.
Killing him doesn’t seem harsh enough. So what does?
Personally, I think the harshest punishment that Homelander could face would be to depower him and to lock him up in his childhood lab. Homelander has genuinely traumatic emotions and memories tied to that location. Any normal prison wouldn’t elicit the same fear, anger, and feeling of powerlessness that his original lab would.
So my proposition would be to lock him up there for the remainder of his life. Let him stay in the “Bad” Room, as he called it. It would be a fitting end for the man who would once fly into space to look down on earth.
What do you guys think?

Tbh I don’t think that should be his punishment I think that should be Stan’s punishment since he created and caused homelander to be this way
Would that be Stan or Vogelbaum? According to Soldier Boy it was Vogelbaum’s experiment and Stan Edgar was not the CEO at the time. It seems like he might’ve been in a similar position for Payback as Stilwell was for the Seven. I don’t think he’d have had the authority at the time to authorize a Homelander experiment, though he was definitely involved.
In the noir not Stan scene stan mentions homie i still think Stan deserves punishment for this
I can’t knock you for that opinion. It just seems that Vogelbaum and Barbara deserved more blame for what actually went on in the experiments and bad room, not that Stan would not be aware, just that it would not have been due to him directly.
Stan can be redeemed. I think he’ll be good come the end of s5
That’s like saying homelander can be redeemed NO
Homelander has a ton of hardline followers. You only need one crazy enough to help him escape and bring him the V and then they would be back at it. Kimiko got her powers back immediately. Possibly Love Sausage did too.
Living him alive would be a risk too big
Killing homelander is perfect enough. As long as it's done by actual human and not some dumb supe turned good. The whole thing was about homelander being invincible, him staying alive without powers is dumb cliche and ruins the "kill the god" plot finale
We've been promised a "scorched Earth" fight to the death since S3. Anything less will be a disappointment to me.
Honestly no, because that would be a thing for like ten minutes. That guy is the King of Dissociation. I mean he is literally not there half of the time in season 4. So no. They’d put him in there and he’d break and be mentally gone immediately.
The lab might be traumatic but Homelander is a vain person. He wants to be loved, adored, seen as intelligent and a great leader, and last season he's very concerned about his appearance.
If he is to be depowered, he should be physically crippled too and become dependent on someone. Imagine if he has no powers and Butcher beats him to a bloody pulp. Homelander survives but has lost the ability to walk or move parts of his body. His face is a mess too.
Last shot is him in cheap Vought care facility where his ass is wiped and he sits with the common man all day. His hair is grey and thinning and he looks at a screen to see Annie or someone he despises leading The New Seven.
Depowered and forced to live a mundane human existence with a low wage job and zero prospects. Closing shot of him working at McVoughts and asking someone if they’d like to “supe” size their meal
Nope! Homelander turns good and decides to right all his wrongs and be a real hero, butcher and the boys can't accept this and Homelander kills them all (except starlight who is so moved by homelanders growth so we see a return to Homelight) and becomes the Hero we always knew he could be!
The last scene could be Ryan with Homelander and Starlights beautiful blonde child playing together
I'm assuming this is a lame ending to Hero Academia or something that everyone hates?

Take his arms, legs and pp and leave him as a stump
He should die a long, slow, excruciating death... but that should definitely happen in the final season
Gee no one’s ever thought this one before
Homelander deserves redemption
Thats what I think will happen to Homelander. I also think Butcher ends up being killed Ryan. The show ends with Ryan visiting HL in his lab.
He can’t be left alive. It would be possible to get his powers back. And he’s still a sadistic asshole who knows how to get in people’s heads. Just kill him. It doesn’t need to be more complicated.
Nah bro. A lot of people want him to be depowered and forced to live as a regular human, and I staunchly disagree with that. I personally don’t think he’s pure evil… I think he’s ‘broken evil’.
He needs to be put out of his misery, that’s how I look at it, and Butcher needs to be the one to do it, with Ryan playing a part as well.
I feel a swerve coming where Ryan might end up becoming the one who is depowered, so he can live a normal life as a normal human being. Perhaps SV tries to hit homelander with the nuke thing, but Ryan somehow gets caught in the blast. This is what causes homelander to turn in SB after making his son more like butcher, a weak human. Then butcher and homie fight over Ryan in a souped up custody battle to the death.
