My brain melted. I feel like I'm listening to a video game sound track and I'm enjoying it immensely. Name the game

I’m getting feudal Japan vibes. This would be PERFECT for the scene in Crouching Tiger where they’re riding across the grassland countryside on horseback with beautiful hills/mountains in the background. Too perfect.

    parent root
    1 points youburyitidigitup

I closed my eyes and let the music create a scene. I saw an alien desert planet with sand blowing peacefully. The game could be an exploration of this planet, so it could be titled Escape to Sombyr.

I’ve seen Moby in so many videos recently, is he making a big comeback or something?

This sounds a bit like movie music so maybe for a movie?

    parent root
    6 points whoitis

I was wondering if that was Moby

    parent root
    13 points THER00STER73

I think it’s actually a guy named LudoWic. This is another video of him playing. Pretty sure this is the same guy. trautonium ludowic

    parent root
  • 22 points rosesbloom0

This sounds like it could be a good intro instrumental to any action movie

    parent
    2 points watermouse

I saw it as a background soundtrack to a seal team 6 type TV show where they are overseas and day is just turning to dusk........something something /end

    parent root
    1 points Ha1lStorm

I’m getting vibes more akin to an intro for a feudal Japan period piece. This would be PERFECT for the scene in Crouching Tiger where they’re riding across the grassland countryside on horseback with beautiful hills/mountains in the background.

  • 17 points KeithMyArthe

Does the section played with his right hand just consist of one solid piece without frets or keys?

    Like a Theremin?

    Interesting device

    parent
    13 points Eguy321

Yep, it's a trautonium, invented the same year as the theremin. The resistor ribbon controls pitch as you slide left and right, and the whole thing is on a metal bar that you can push down on to control volume.

Ondes martenot? (or some modern facimile?)

    parent
    2 points Eguy321

It's a trautonium, invented the same year as the ondes martenot, played through one of the ondes martenot's resonating speakers

This Instrument is a German synth from the 30's called the Trantoniun. I's recently been popularized by the artist know as Ludowic.
