It's a generator of paperwork now

    parent
    21 points Farfignugen42

And it is already generating even though it isn't installed yet.

    6 points Haku510

It's a new more green design - doesn't even need a fuel source to work!

That's about a 1 or 2 MW unit, worth half a million dollars or so. Chances are good they didn't actually damage anything except the enclosure. Could still be pretty expensive though.

Who ever is purchasing that is 1000% sending it back

    parent root
    18 points chaseinger

when we do stadium shows we rent those. if it shows up like this and runs fine, i'm 100% keeping it. i need the power when i need it.

They should have been driving faster to fully cut the top off the generator.

    parent
    16 points whurpurgis

And let all the electricity slosh out at the turns?

    parent root
    5 points anotherteapot

I love the image of trying to keep electricity in like you're balancing a full cup of water.

Can we try to start a viral myth about how electricity works in our portable devices? To prevent the electricity from leaking out of the battery, you have to make sure to keep it upright, it works just like a cup! Don't be dumb!

I just want to see a few thousand people try to justify walking around holding their phones all weird and making instructional videos about how best to use it in bed.

Everyone knows electronics are actually run using magic smoke.

    parent root
    2 points anotherteapot

No no, the magic smoke is from the worky bits becoming not-so-worky bits via fire, the sparky fluid is just the battery. Keep up!

Hey! I weld the gas tanks that go under some of these bad boys! In fact I'm just leaving work, smelling of Ar & CO2 and dying of thirst.

    parent
    3 points valiantfreak

You should branch out into making the mufflers. Despite what everybody thinks, there's bugger-all science behind them and unlike gas tanks they need replacing periodically

Hey! I weld the gas tanks that go under some of these bad boys! In fact I'm just leaving work, smelling of Ar & CO2 you might be surprised how often they get replaced. For one reason or another.....

I have kept my eyes peeled for a change....I would like to change my life up a bit....

Enjoy that first cold drink, I'll be leaving work soon too.

  • 3 points jmt8706

I assume no one measured the load? Or they did and didn't route plan.

    parent
    3 points anotherteapot

Might have been trying to avoid using an escort, and found the place on the route that really needed one.

Until I read the title, I thought a shipment of toilets met their demise.

    parent
    3 points anotherteapot

The risk of being a company that makes toilets is that if you make anything else and people don't like it, you make shit products. The joke is just too easy.

    parent root
  • 3 points DosEquisVirus

Down the toilet that one went...

    parent

Really flushed away the profit on that job

I’ve had some experience procuring large generators for food pantries and government buildings. What you see here is a disaster due to just supply chain issues. If you have $750k and want to purchase a large generator, that’s not enough. They take the deposit, say they will deliver in around 50 weeks, and that’s that. I doubt the vendor has another in surplus so it’s going to be more waiting.

Was it under tow before it struck the overpass?

Insurance company: YOU HIT WHAT WITH WHAT?!
