Okay not a hot take but that cover of Santa Baby makes me uncomfortable
Possible actual hot take: Christmases When You Were Mine is wildly underrated, including by me. Most of the year I forget it exists and then I'm reminded that it's a genuinely beautiful breakup song.
We really never needed this. If she ever does a full Christmas album, I’m hoping it will be mostly new originals mixed in with a few covers of pop Christmas songs like Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)
Her cover of Last Christmas is right underneath the original. No other cover is better. And if you think this is not true please provide some covers so I can listen.
I literally can’t listen to any other cover of it. The original is supreme and no one can replicate its magic, but damn does Taylor Swift come the closest.
“Here’s to the birthday boy who saved our lives” is arguably her cringiest lyric, but I can’t deny how iconic it is LMAO
This is actually the funniest way to describe Jesus 🤣
i'm not into christmas music so i don't know the album but this is hilarious 😂😂😂😂
But I am Christian so I actually love this lyric. 🥲🥲🥲
My husband is religious and he low-key likes this song
Same here but no low key at all 😂🥲. I use this song to prepare myself for the season sometimes 😂😂😂.
Christmases When You Were Mine is an underrated classic
Was looking for this response. Agree and it has been on every single holiday playlist of mine for 10 years.
this song is honestly really great, its so slept on
hard agree!
Added it to my Christmas playlist this year. It’s a great song.
Cringe af, but I still love it. I wish she’d re-record!
I listened to this at 16 and still do at 33
Her voice isn’t the best on it but I’m still really grateful we have it! So fun to listen to at Christmas time. So cheesy it’s good kinda thing.
If she owns this master (which she probably does), there should be a remastered version of it.
I love her rendition of Silent Night. I think it sounds really pretty🧍♀️
and Christmases When You Were Mine >>> Christmas Tree Farm.
Love her version of Last Christmas, not sure if that’s a hot take.

Scott brochetta is an idiot. He has always been an idiot
it said hot takes 😭
It should at minimum be reissued. The secondhand market prices on places like Discogs are frankly ridiculous.
I've picked up two or three copies at Goodwill for about a buck each
Christmases When You Were Mine is just as classic Taylor songwriting as any other song from her first two albums and I wish it was appreciated more.
I still enjoy hearing them on my local country station
I loveeeeee it sm
Many of the songs are not very good. Christmas tree farm is a banger though
It deserved an era in the Eras Tour
Piping hot take haha
i guess my hot take is that i love it, i had no idea so many people wouldn’t like it!
Obviously it’s supremely underrated.
I listen to it every year around this time! Taylor's Version when?
Edit: genuine question, does she own the master now? Was it included in her purchase?
Surely
If Taylor has ever deserved to be cancelled for anything, it’s for the way she massacred Silent Night. It makes my ears bleed.
Sounds like shit

Jimmy Eat World’s is my favorite version of the song.

Love this album
It sounds perfect, it sounds perfect, baked on December 24th, I love it.
Christmas was yesterday
For some of us it is still Christmas. There are these things called time zones
Plus not every country has the 25th as the main day.
I picture you working in an office and scowling when you go in on the 26th and no one's taken down any decorations.
