Yeah it is starting to make the record itself super weird, and it’s kind of self reinforcing. Nobody wants to release near her because she dominates the charts, but now that’s partially happening because there aren’t any other strong releases. There have been times in the past where several of the top albums all had more sales than LOAS does right. It’s only been selling around 100k copies a week for about a month now, which is less than what most number 1 albums sold for the rest of the year.
The biggest song of 2024, Beautiful Things, never went number one. Billboard ranks are ultimately meaningless. Of course 21 Savage did just try to cheat to dethrone her... billboard didn't count 30k of his sales.
Showgirls is the best selling album of 2025... by about half a million units. And I really like it. That's ultimately what matters.
I feel like I got misinterpreted lol, TLOAS obviously deserves to be a record shattering album, and it’s an incredible accomplishment! It’s just that billboard isn’t always a great measurement cause of shit like this.Â
I want Taylor to release several singles/videos. I think this would extend the album’s life. Opalite, Father Figure, Elizabeth Taylor and Wi$h Li$t would produce great images. I selfishly also want a video for Honey because it’s my favorite song and it needs a bigger audience.
Glad to see that "The Life of a Showgirl" is still going very strong at #1.
I think this album could make a huge run. Very few artists I think could dethrone this one.

It's hard to avoid competing with her when she's never off season. TTPD had two lives with the delayed release of the anthology too.
Anthology was released 2 hours later… hardly can be counted as two lives
