So this just happened... and I'm genuinely confused... something about M12 normal just brings out the most interesting people...
I (RPR) was helping my friend (DNC) clear the Arcadion raids, having a blast taking him through it all, and we finally get to the Lindwurm. We were both jamming out to the bgm and having a good time, until I used the LB3 on the boss at around 7% health. Everything was going perfectly with the fight but the AST got mad at me for using the LB; even though everyone was alive, fully healed, and no other DPS was making any attempts to use it before me. (Timestamp 11:47) I was going to ignore it, but I was just curious and sent the question mark wondering why they were upset, hoping they were just joking since they were a healer.
Is that the thing you're supposed to do? Or is this dude just crazy? It's not like the LB made any difference, and the boss' health in phase 2 just melted anyway. The VPR used the LB1 on him at the end as well. Me and my friend are still both so confused at this dude's behaviour.
Obviously you need to leave LB for the anime finisher at .3% health
Bonus points for it hitting in a black screen.
Extra bonus points for it getting interrupted by the screen going black and not going off at all.
No animation, no damage, but it drained the bar.

People like that AST would rather spoil phase 2 for new players than spend half a minute more taking down the second phase.
The first time i did this duty i used the tank lb3 right before the 2nd phase cuz i thought the fight was done lol

there was one time (not my first) i did this fight and threw out a phantom rush outside of my burst towards the end of the first phase because i genuinely forgot about the second phase

I’m fine when people like you use it at all. Meanwhile, I’m swinging my axe at bosses with LB3 on the back burner until it’s literally 1-2%. Sometimes never.
Bro, I hate it when im in a dungeon as a melee or tank and we have the LB1 and the caster doesnt even think about using the LB on the trash pile...
For me it's a damned if I do damned if I don't situation, if I use it on trash someone complains, if I don't use it they complain. Can't win with some players. Some players pick the dumbest things to bitch about.
Always use it, no matter. It's not just a fancy light up for you to stare at, I promise-
At least as a melee you can resign yourself to using it on a boss. As a sage I just weep. It's why any ranged who uses the lb in a pull gets an instant comm, followed by any melee who actually presses the damn button.
If no one uses it by the end of the fight, idc what class im on, im using it. Like, don't get mad at me DPS, you didnt wanna use it the entire time it was available so I did
I tend to forget lol, also it's sometimes only up on the final pack when I'm bursting, so don't wanna waste my burst :p
As a caster who uses the lb on the trash, I had times I've gotten yelled at for doing so....

That secomd phase im normal burns fast as shit. Its actually better to LB3 as you get it tbh.(assuming your party isnt dookie amd you need heal lb)

No way! I had the exact same experience with an AST from Excalibur when a new player LB3 towards the end of the first phase. Then they complained saying there’s a second phase and spoiled it for all the new players in the fight who ended up being quite upset about it. I wonder if it’s the same AST since they were just as passive aggressive…

Is it even faster to use lb3 on phase2? Idk if the boss takes extra damage or something in p2 but even if so I thought those sorts of damage buffs usually don’t affect lbs?
It might. But then it's still offset by all the time you DIDN'T save by using an LB3 in Phase 1
It’s almost always best to use the lb immediately when it fills since you’ll get more (unless of course you need healer / tank lb for prog or a special mechanic later).
It’s easier to think about it if you add the boss hp from phase 1 and phase 2 together and just consider it one hp pool.

it's not that phase 2 takes more damage it just has less health
The other day I had a sage that won’t take my rez. I rez’d them manually and then with swift cast. After the second rez I decided to lb3 rez them and the other person. A reaper was fuming at me for not saving lb3 for 2nd phase. Like as if there’s a mandatory lb3 usage for 2nd phase 😭 just hit your buttons. It’s not that long.

Terrible players need their emotional support Healer LB3, you're not allowed to use LB unless it's an actual killing blow.

If the lb hit the boss then it wasn't wasted. Maybe they had a friend in there that wanted their big "I'M THE MAIN CHARACTER' moment. Can't help but shake my head with the complaints some players have ( the healer not you). If used in the second part at best you shave like 10 seconds off the fight, nothing to complain about.
i did an m12n as war and lb2'd at the end of phase 1 without knowing there eas a second phase xd the ast said i was basically incompetent, i apologized and they were still salty
I'd like to add that when I said "look at the bar," the LB1 was already more than halfway full.
The only reason to save it is bc it hits way harder after he comes back, but if youre gonna make it a whole thing, at least explain why youre asking to. Just insisting to hold it means nothing if you dont know why you need to.
It just looks like that because he has way less health. It does exactly the same damage.
Speedwise it should make no difference when you use it.
It does not hit harder in second phase, better to use it asap and maybe get and extra lb1 or 2
