I'm on Elemental, and dungeon runs are usually just spawn in -> everyone goes "Hello!" "Let's do it!" -> run -> "Good game!" "Thank you!"
But this time, after we all spawned in, the tank didn't move at all. He was a sprout too, so the healer thought he was a newbie and reminded him to turn on his stance. After a whole minute, he suddenly starts swearing at the healer. Eventually, the tank even starts using Google Translate so he could swear using Japanese (as opposed to getting on with the run).
Highlights include the healer trying to communicate by typing "naruhodo" in English, and the tank saying "Stop chatting and let's start playing" and the other DPS saying "Coming from you?"
I felt bad for the healer, but at the same time, this was a fun little departure from the usual humdrum of dungeon runs XDDD

That should be easiest report from all three others. And almost instantly a GM gaol for that tank at the very least. If not more since this is such a surefire case. There is absolutely nothing in the game that could warrant such hostility in such a situation.
I once met a Japanese sprout in ARF (I have an alt in Tonberry and I was playing PLD). He knew nothing about the Ascian Prime and we wiped twice already. I immediately started using my broken Japanese and a little bit of English to explain to him. He picked up slowly (we wiped again because he didn't know how to deal with the chain tether). We managed to finish it on forth trials. Never once I was frustrated during the whole fight.
Imagine being a fucking snowflake and get triggered the first second you see someone typing in Japanese.
I once had a co-healer on Faerie write at me in Japanese. I think it was during a run in Weeping City I think? Anyways, they kept writing various different things in Japanese. I cannot read or speak Japanese. I was very confused. I did not get mad though. I didn’t assume hey were spamming me. I just asked if anyone in the party could translate.

I don't know how they are trained, but I live near a navy base (Norfolk, VA, USA), and that's definitely not how they end up.
I am sure there are some fine officers who embody our tolerant ideals, but I suspect that would come from years of experience, and personal integrity they brought into the job, rather than the job itself.
Of the 9 navy servicemembers in my social circles, 7 of them are absolutely infantile, entitled, and cruel, and I don't know the other 2 that well.
From my experience with meeting those types, sadly seems the good ones are accidental...

The healer did told him twice but the first one was more dark knight stance skill but healer isnt sure so instead he type the word "Stance" basically universal word for aggro. (Guessing , it wasnt dark knight since healer was questioning himself if they have grit)
If your playing in jp, yeah its more rarer to see toxic player compared to na server but if you do see one, its kind of like this. XD

I think but have not played for a bit that random queues are group wide and only to elemental severs have an English player base so the group is still Japanese dominated.
Right, I avoid going to JP servers because I don't speak the language, so for someone to complain about people speaking JP on a JP server, even if it is one with a higher density of EN speakers, seems incredibly strange. Not sure what prompted the wave of downvotes on my comment when people clearly agree with the sentiment based on comments posted after mine.

That’s why a lot of JP players hate Tonberry. I have been on Tonberry for years, you’ll see almost all raid parties formed on PF will be marked as JP only, this is the reason.
I wonder if that is the same tank who joined the PF I was in 4 years ago... it was JP only and he joined anyway. I told the PT I speak both ENG/JP so I can just be the translator between communication if necessary and they were very happy with it. (JP only PF is usually due to PF leader being insecure about language barrier, not because of exclusion) so when there is someone who can translate, they are happier for it.
That dude would constantly die at first pull (ST) and he would not communicate. So I started to feel responsible/embarrassed for his action or.. lack thereof. He suddenly left the PT mid-play and so we went out. We waited for him to say something. He did not. In fact, 2-3 minutes he said "GO" we were SO confused LOL. I asked, what is he talking about... he kept wiping, then left, then let us sit down and wait for him to explain himself only for him to tell us to "GO"... what!? He started to go on a HUGE racist spam and it sounds REALLY a lot like that dude using those words, and worse and "F U" and whatnot. This was about 4-5 years ago and I won't forget him. We kicked him out and had a good laugh but that was also the last time I was a translator. It was third time at the time someone joining JP only who would cuss out the Japanese players and call them "dogs". -_- I notice it is especially tank players. (Not accusing but it is noticeable also in other region tank or healer players are most toxic)
