I have someone coming over to professionally mount my TV later this afternoon. I want to stay in compliance with the council so if anyone wants to help me on where to mount it in relation to where it is now it would be greatly appreciated!
Why mount it? If you are going to mount it, this sub is just going to say keep it the same height. The only reason mounting it would be good is to get rid of the TV stand, but I can tell, you can't afford to lose any storage room...
I have the same TV stand, I really need to wall mount my 85". The TV is over the weight capacity of the stand and I'd really hate for the stand top to give out and have my TV crash to the floor
UPDATE: I do believe the mount turned out perfect as he only went a few inches up from where it sat on its stands
Yes it is a Peter Griffin Rug and I took a chance getting it from Aliexpress lol
The room is this dark because its meant to be a studio/theatre/office 3.I only wanted it mounted to clear the table space and also tilt the TV toward my desk when I’m filming or taking a break from work/gaming.
Ignore the lamp, I know its ugly but I didn’t want just the big light and this just came into my possession with sentimental value
Not directly relevant. But it was super helpful for me. If you have a standing, adjustable desk. Put it where your tv is- and change the height each week. You’ll quickly figure out which height is the most ideal for you- without drilling multiple times/ other work required. Nice little hack IMO.

Don't mount it. Backlight it. Even on the black some extra light will reduce eye strain in a dark room.
