I think the problem is the legs jutting up. You couldn't even flop on the couch after a hard day without running the risk of snapping those twigs at the end.
What? Thats an incredibly common leg style for couches, especially modern/designer. Theyre solid steel and often are directly welded to a larger base frame.
They're far more solid than any of the beefy screw-on wood or fake wood couch legs I've seen over the years.
Long time ago I designed a video editing booth with this effect. It was a tilted cube on the outside but on the inside it had a level floor and desk. Thought it was a really fun concept and the carpenters executed it fantastically. So far the good part. Inside it was disorienting as hell and drove people crazy. Everybody hated it. The couch would make a nice match though.
Quite comfortable in a waiting-room kind of way, and Novembre is well known for more avante-garde designs.
The seat is entirely level, and you do not notice the slanted backrest at all. This is really good design, as all the 'practical' considerations of comfort and ergonomics are accounted for within the overarching aesthetic vision.
Edit: the two different armest heights is not really an issue. Each armrest height already exists in ordinary sofas and is proven comfortable for each type, and you will never lean against both of them at the same time.
I can see this being really nice for some people, outside of the art or conversation piece nature of it—having a backrest at different heights gives good options.
This couch would be terrible for some types of drugs, though.
Adaptations by Capellini and Fabio Novembre. Also comes in leprechaun green. It's some kind of statement piece about the uncertainty of our time and precariousness and like... discomfort and shit.
Years ago a friend had a couch where one of the rear legs broke, so he just removed the other rear leg and left the front ones intact.
For some reason that made the couch many times more comfortable.
This is one that would not work in reality. In the picture with nobody sitting in it, we have a nice perfectly straight top of all seat cushions. But the bottoms of each cushion are all angled. There is grossly uneven support across each seat. Once a person sits on this, it will no longer be horizontally flat and that will gradually be really hard on the hips and spine for anyone that sits there regularly.
This couch looks like it would be an absolute nightmare to move around. Because you’re constantly forget that it looks like that by design and not because you or the manufacturer assembled it wrong. Honestly, I can see the view as why some people would probably enjoy this but for me, keep this out of my house.

i love the concept, but would hate it at home
It's perfect for a hotel lobby or art museum.
this is a perfect napping couch
Yeah, one side has a lower arm rest so you don't screw up your neck haha
Happy cake day!
I can't believe I missed my cake day
I've been on this hellsite for seven years now lmao
Happy cake day!! 🎂
It would trigger me till I would get used to it, I FUCKING LOVE IT
I want it so bad.
I fell off my couch looking at this couch.
The part where you actually sit isn’t angled tho
Right?! I absolutely love this
different people need different height back rests
some people like it to come up halfway to the back and others like it closer to the neck

Tbh the thick side looks much more floppable anyway. Nice thick cushions and a lower armrest to prevent an accidental bonk.

Yes, but the leverage is all wrong for if you just collapse onto the couch
The exact same amount of leverage of a normal couch would have, the lever point (the other end) is exactly the same.
And cleaning below it would be a nightmare in hard to reach spots. But still visible
Lol, you're kidding, right?
Cushions lookin thiccc
This is the best gif I have seen in ages 😂 10/10
This is absolutely sending me
[removed]
It's based.
Based on what?
Stfu 😂
Some much more than others
"Where are you?"
I imagine him seducing this sofa by singing "Come on Eileen"
"Oh she goes both ways hehe"
I love this couch.
That’s a slouch if ever I saw one!
I hate it but I want it
Totally
i kinda wanna just look at it more now that i understand what was happening.
Face down, ass up thats how we like to...
It's like a couch in a game where one leg is clipping to the floor.
Cant help but feel like the legs would eventually snap at that angle
I am TRIGGERED

Thanks. I love this Couch.
What’s to hate? One side is clearly for the pushin

If you stain one of the cushions, you can’t just flip it and forget about it
Adidas ass couch.
Looking like the couch Jake produced in 30 Rock
nobody's arm is resting comfortably on this.
The San Franciscan
This is some Ripley’s museum shit
Yeah, the color could be better
"We already have one at home."
I want to nap on that so hard.
The Slouch
I kinda love this.
Pivot!
The legs would have so much pressure on them in the wrong direction....
Pretty sure Charles Leclerc and Carlos Sainz did an interview sitting on this couch a couple years ago. I thought it was sick
Lol i actually love this
I’d feel jester about it if I didn’t think the hand rests should’ve been made parallel to the floor a bit
I mean... It kinda makes sense 😂
That’s actually badass
Welcome to Costco. I love you.
it’s giving goldilocks
This is actually perfect, one side is great for sitting and the other is great for laying down while seamlessly merging together
But what if the couch is hating you back? Maybe hate is the reason why it looks like this? Save the poor couch please, this breaks my heart. 💔ðŸ˜
Ha, thats great. It would piss so many people off though.
I don’t know if I want the smushy side or the good armrest side.

This couch is just silly.

I kind of love it? It makes me laugh for some reason.Â
OCD couch
I WANT this couch.
They look cool, but not very sturdy though
Kinda neat ngl I get why people hate it but I can't help but like it.
Chaos
Pros: easy to see the cat toys under it.
Cons: can only reach the toys under one half of it.
R/ATBGE
Try putting some books under the one side to even it out.
The only people who don't like this couch are BIG people 😂😂😂
I have this exact image saved from like 6 years ago
No. Absolutely not.
Left-leaning couch
Going to sit on this drunk would end in a casualty
JD Vance enters the chat….
I love this couch
That sits on a different level with me.
I want this
It shouldn't even work properly: the left cushion would sink much deeper than the right.
oh my god

ngl it looks like a rom-com setup. The legs of the couch give out and whoosh.
