lmao that's great, Austin already got some Bethesda devs to answer some questions for his Starfield video, so it's great to see he got Todd involved too.
Normally I would say of course he’s joking, just like the completely joking 111,111 Skyrim-date-inspired answer he gave just beforehand…..
…but I’m kinda with you, he seemed genuinely serious for a moment. Seemed like a “oh you’ll know what I mean when you see this thing, just wait” kind of vibe.
Well that’s the thing isn’t it? Time travel is a fickle thing. It can really be terrible to say too much about the future, which is why they keep us on entertainment topics strictly. Im under NDA and cannot speak about other things in the future.
Anyway, TES VI does release in March of 2029 after two delays yes two. And honestly its a fantastic game but it receives a similar blowback as Starfield online. But I guess thats to be expected
Sadly the trailer looks way more mountainous which fits Hammerfell and High Rock more but I would be so happy if somehow it was those provinces instead.
Not sure if you have some inside knowledge, saw a prophecy or a vision but I really hope you're right. Honestly a twist like that would be awesome to behold.
However, both Redguard and Breton styles were featured in TES Castles and added to the Skyrim Creation Club so unless that's another misdirect...
Well there was the family in fallout 4 called the summersets. And if there is ship mechanics there’s tons of that to be had around Alinor with its islands and to valenwood, and stros m’kai still being a dlc showing a little flavor of hammerfell.
This is why I love Todd lol super awesome to see him join in. The way I see it is you're going to rustle some feathers and make some mistakes when you're leading a large company in any field but Todd has kept it pretty real and clearly is a gamer at heart.
Isn't a lot of Hammerfell savannah and mediterranean too, plus jungles in the south? All of those biomes have trees. also the possibility that the map is just bigger than skyrim (as it should, at least a bit), means it could outnumber skyrim trees.
To be fair, a game being released 15+ years after Skyrim would have much higher fidelity environment. To the point that anything short of straight up sand dunes/desert could have more trees.
Firstly hammerfell was NEVER implied or confirmed. It’s all 100% fan theories that went way too far as in people think it’s confirmed. Not. The game does NOT take place in hammerfell. It’s in Alinor and in Valenwood.

Unfortunately that’s not true. I’m from the future and can verify that it is indeed Alinor. Well the game itself is called Alinor but it includes valenwood as well. A dumbledore like character is the main villain. You’ll know when you know 🧙🏻♂️
Either Todd is fucking with us or this game is about to be bigger than I expected, there’s no reason Hammerfell/High Rock should have more trees than Skyrim, right? I guess I’m not as familiar with High Rock’s biomes or whatever
There's probably more trees in FO76 already than in Skyrim - even if it's just Hammerfell, the scale of the map will surely be bigger, and I could very well see that game having more trees. Hammerfell isn't just desert.
Well Fallout 76 makes sense, I grew up close to where that takes place and I can confirm there’s a helluva lot of trees there, regardless of scale I would expect it to have more trees than Skyrim. I think I just overestimated how much desert is in Hammerfell tbh
I’m scrambling for a crumb of info, I just assumed even with his joke answer on the amount of trees he would be aware of the difference in climates/trees.
Look what you’ve done to me, Todd. I don’t even care about trees, really
it's also possible to have more trees just from a more realistic tree density in smaller areas. as austin points out skyrims tree density is closer to that of a man made park than an actual forest.
The 111, 111 was a meme, clearly. Buy it having more trees than Skyrim is serious. So either Hammerfell will be scaled to be much bigger than Skyrim or it will be more than one province.
That sly dog, after all the hurt from this waiting and he still makes me smile when he shows up!
Oh, and If he wasn't just trolling, more trees in TESVI3can only mean Hammerfell PLUS High Rock or Valenwood. And If he is increasing his number of appearances so much even with the Fallout S2 marketing, i think this could mean the start of the TESVI marketing campaign!
I think this is actually pretty big news. Hammerfell having a giant desert implies that there would be less trees overall than Skyrim if Hammerfell and Skyrim were the same size of map. But Todd saying "most definitely more" hints to me that either the game will include High Rock or that Hammerfell will have rich vegetation in a lot of its map. I know that we already knew Hammerfell had jungles and whatnot, but it's still cool to hear this "confirmation" from Todd lol
What if TESVI is the entire universe/continent in one game? Including old quests updated with contextual details from the other provinces, and some new cross-province quests? That’d be amazing.
I know we are all just joking around, so don't take this "statement" too seriously. Awesome that he joined the video though!
Lol I was just about to post this, I audibly gasped when Todd showed up
See, this was a “you need to touch grass” moment for me because I immediately recognized him just from his silhouette.
Same! I also read someone say that Todd Howard being recognizable through just his silhouette is good character design, and it made me cackle!
Same.
lmao that's great, Austin already got some Bethesda devs to answer some questions for his Starfield video, so it's great to see he got Todd involved too.
Am I the only one who took his statement seriously???
I swear, the way he said it (in my coping opinion), he wasn't joking about, like he meant it.
I'm so desperate to the point where a stupid info like trees quantity will make me lose my mind 🫥.
Edit: I forgot to type the word 'one' in the first sentence.
Normally I would say of course he’s joking, just like the completely joking 111,111 Skyrim-date-inspired answer he gave just beforehand…..

He definitely was joking about the number, but he changed his tone as soon as the other guy asked him about how many trees in TES VI.
I agree, he said "most definitely more" and Todd and the other Bethesda guy brought it up themselves so I think they meant it lol
I also interpreted it as a deliberate, if small, hint.
Valenwood believers rise up!
Those High Rock forests going to be 🤌
The game takes place in valenwood and the summerset isles. Elswyr is under heavy guard at this time and it’s not accessible.
I know this because I’m from the future (2034) and the game is called Alinor
I really appreciate you doing absolutely nothing with your future knowledge besides telling people where elder scrolls is set 😂😂 priorities
Well that’s the thing isn’t it? Time travel is a fickle thing. It can really be terrible to say too much about the future, which is why they keep us on entertainment topics strictly. Im under NDA and cannot speak about other things in the future.

I would totally be happy with Hammerfell or especially Hammerfell and High Rock, but tbh Valenwood and Summerset is my dream TES game.
Well my friend, you are absolutely in for a treat.
Sadly the trailer looks way more mountainous which fits Hammerfell and High Rock more but I would be so happy if somehow it was those provinces instead.
The trailer is on the western coast of Auridon and is approaching the city of Skywatch in the foreground.
Not sure if you have some inside knowledge, saw a prophecy or a vision but I really hope you're right. Honestly a twist like that would be awesome to behold.

....you son of a bitch, I'm in! All aboard the Alinor hype train!!!!!
holy shit, he did it again! I’m gonna go buy some MeUndies with his promo code
This is why I love Todd lol super awesome to see him join in. The way I see it is you're going to rustle some feathers and make some mistakes when you're leading a large company in any field but Todd has kept it pretty real and clearly is a gamer at heart.
Todd is love, Todd is life
This 1 video gives us 111,111 times more information about TESVI than we ever knew before.
Wow, an actual bit of TES6 news.
It sounds like the game is big enough that saying it has more trees than Skyrim is a pretty safe guess for him. That's exciting. 🙂
Love Any Austin
Very curious for (what we assume to be) a Hammerfell based game to have definitively more trees than Skyrim…
Isn't a lot of Hammerfell savannah and mediterranean too, plus jungles in the south? All of those biomes have trees. also the possibility that the map is just bigger than skyrim (as it should, at least a bit), means it could outnumber skyrim trees.
hammerfell does have jungles in the south eastern quarter, and if it's including high rock, they have the wyrd tree forests
To be fair, a game being released 15+ years after Skyrim would have much higher fidelity environment. To the point that anything short of straight up sand dunes/desert could have more trees.

I feel like every day we are teased with the idea of a glimpse of new information

Don't take it too seriously ;) he even overshot the actual amount of trees by a lot. There is no "hint" in his statement
111, 111 is a meme, "more trees than Skyrim" is a statement of fact.
Unless he genuinely believes that 6 has 111112 trees.
I’m scrambling for a crumb of info, I just assumed even with his joke answer on the amount of trees he would be aware of the difference in climates/trees.
Look what you’ve done to me, Todd. I don’t even care about trees, really
Hammerfell isn't just desert, most of its biomes would have plenty of trees. And HR is very forested
High Rock does seem to have very dense forests
Keep in mind Hammerfell also has dense forest biomes too
it's also possible to have more trees just from a more realistic tree density in smaller areas. as austin points out skyrims tree density is closer to that of a man made park than an actual forest.
The 111, 111 was a meme, clearly. Buy it having more trees than Skyrim is serious. So either Hammerfell will be scaled to be much bigger than Skyrim or it will be more than one province.
For reference, Todd Howard appears from 21:08 to 21:58
At least 111112 trees confirmed
That sly dog, after all the hurt from this waiting and he still makes me smile when he shows up!

Hammerfell only believers in panic mode

I came to the sub to post this and it was already done. Damn you guys are quick.
The most “real” thing we have gotten about ES from an official source and the mods remove it? The heck is that about
Someone reported this post and it got hit by the automoderator I was told.
Tree... three... Elder Scrolls 6... 6 times 3 equals 18... Elder Scrolls 6: Black Marsh is releasing in 18 months, this confirms it!
I think its pretty baller than Todd was willing to appear in a video alongside so many pro-palestine creators
So more than 10? Noice
