I tried modding my switch for the first time today, finally got in but since it wasn't showing the version I updated it (like a moron. I googled if it was ok to do so and ig the results lied :/). Just my luck an update is released only hours before I mod my switch. Anyway, now I only get a black screen when launching.
My question is; what exactly needs to be updated for new versions? Do I need to update everything? (themesinstaller etc.) Or do I only need to wait for a Hekate or Atmosphere update?
The Atmosphere github only mentions 21.0.0 compatability, not 21.1.0, and it worked on that so I assume it should be fine. Hekate does mention 21.1.0 support specifically however.
I assume all I need to wait for is a new Hekate version. Is this correct? (also how long does that usually take?) Thanks.

Also, if I have two ssds, can I freely swap between them or am I stuck with one ssd until I completely change to another? For example, I have two 64gb ssds. Can one be a sysnand and one be an emmunand and swap between them or is that like not how it works at all
Yes you'll get banned. You didn't purchase them and the game checks for purchased content.

It is not recommended to use more than one SD because it will break a bunch of shit and cause more trouble than it's worth. Just buy one SD that has the storage you need.
Using any not legitimately owned games, and connecting online AT ALL, even once, will get you a ban. It's not about playing online - it's about the fact that the switch sends log files of everything done on it to Nintendo immediately upon each connection. If you don't have an emunand, then you're already going to catch a ban, guaranteed, at this point.
You don't need to replace any homebrew itself, but hekate and atmosphere will need an update when they come out. For the themes, you just uninstall the theme before you update and reinstall it after.
I might have forgot to do this. Would I delete the 'Themes' folder, or delete something specific inside of it?

What do you mean? Are you talking about atmosphere or hekete? Regardless, I just wanna know about my themes possible problem.
If you're actually asking... atmosphere and hekete both release their updates after each switch update in about 1-2 days.
