• I have the same with the homebrew. It's not that bad but it sure as hell gets annoying. I'm curious about what could be the issue and fix to it. Following that post.

  • Fix bit Archive on Hekate menu

  • See if this helps.

    1. Enter RCM mode and inject the Hekate payload as you normally would to boot into the Hekate menu.
    2. Navigate to the Tools tab at the top of the screen.
    3. In the bottom right corner, select the Archive bit option.
    4. Tap the button labeled Fix archive bit - Nintendo or Unset archive bit.
    5. Wait for the process to complete. This may take some time.
    6. Once finished, go back to the home screen and select Reboot to restart your console.

Sadly this didn’t fix it when I did the fix archive bit. This is on a freshly modded switch as well

  • i get that from other homebrew applications, would love if anyone found a fix

  • How do you do this in the first place? Putting your RA games on the home screen?

  • not 100% but i think if you close the content in retroarch first this wont happen

True but this is being setup for someone who’s not super good with electronics or anything and I want them to not stress about the error and don’t want them messing around the retroarch menu

ahh i gotcha. i think there is something with the forwarding feature that causes this to happen. if i open retroarch through hb menu i cant replicate the error. so its possibly running in applet mode when being used like this. retroarch also hasn’t been updated for a while on switch. probably not the answer to your question but maybe will help you get closer

It doesn’t run as applet mode like this I believe. One weird thing is on 2 other switches it works fine without this error. Only this freshly setup switch it does this. Possibly new atmosphere causing it is my guess because the other 2 switches are from a bit ago.

that would make sense to me as well i only noticed it recently as well
