u/Golden-James, we have no idea if your submission fits r/SweatyPalms or not. There weren't enough votes to determine that. It's up to the human mods now....!
I don't know, that one guy seemed to have easily pushed the boat away from the wall. Maybe it would hurt but I'm pretty sure the dummy could've just pushed it too when he was close to the wall
I doubt one guy stopped the ferry or whatever it is coming closer. The mass is too great. It would more likely be the skipper changing direction by manipulating the controls. This guy was very lucky.
my dad had leg crushed like that once well working on a boat wean i was a kid
he is lucky to be alive and still have his leg even if it comes with a shit limp
Crushed him alive is a bit much, you’d be surprised at how much mass you can push around in the absence of friction. I’ve spun 140,000 lbs with a decent push.
I’ve known of two people in our community who have been killed doing exactly this. I think this guys is lucky, but if you’re not lucky, you’re most certainly going to be extremely unlucky.

Could have crushed him dead too
The staff wasted no time and saved his life

I think that it's possible, it wasnt moving fast and it also isnt a cruise ship
And you have the upwards force of the water itself working with you, I a lso agree this is possible
1, the boat may be tapered on the underside, so it might not be the end of the world if you dont panic.
2, there's bumper tires, but he was hoisted up right beside one.
3, JUST WAIT FOR THE GODDAMN BOAT TO DOCK
As for your "3", how else would he get ahead by 10 seconds?!
How would the taper help? Isn’t it tapering away from the dock, so the guy still gets trapped between the hull and dock?
Tapered always helps just make sure there is a flange
Maybe swimming down then across to avoid getting crushed by the boat.
If that's your only option, then I guess so. Otherwise it sounds like you might get juuuust crushed enough to still die.
I think worst case you just hold your breath and swim under til you find somewhere to dock.
Orr just stay there and wait to get crushed to death
Heroes dont wear capes. Man in orange life jacket is the quick thinker .
Its as if some people severely lack brain cells 🤦♂️. I salute those workers for stepping in
Darwin award submission
play stupid games win stupid prices
That guy in life vest holding the boat from getting closer...Hero!
Out of this video is the only take out. The guy saved his life

This is exactly what I was going to post!!
Sometimes you should just ask yourself, is it really worth it?
I think he learned his lesson.

Guy deserves one of those indian-style head slaps they give you when you dont wait for the train to pass
Best known way to squeeze a couple of seconds off the docking procedure…
What a dipshit, just needed to wait for the boat to come closer, but nooo, this moron has to try and be a show off and be the first one to jump!😂
Nearly crushed? Well he could be crushed yes. But nearly? Idk.
When the walls come barging in!
Gone too soon.

What a freakishly effective crowd.
Thai people are the best.
What a dumbass.
For this reason, haste is bad

Drunk or just impatient?
He could have just swam quickly out of the gap to the open water. Probably had time if he was an average swimmer.
Everybody does this in Istanbul and I hate it, so dangerous
The dude in the orange vest trying to push the boat back!!! Call me!!! He’s HIM!!!❤️❤️🥰🥰😏😏🥹🥹🥰🥰😍😍😝😝😝😝
Crushed him alive is the weirdest thing I've read in a long time.

Well done people
His stupidity ruined everyone else day.
Wired to be a pain in the ass to everyone else
How many times do I need to see this videos
