As much as I love Gamestop Stock, these prices aren't it. Msrp for the etb should be around $50 -$60. Each booster packs is suppose to be $5. Even other subreddits talk about how bad the pricing at gamestop is. These are the same prices LCS are pricing at. To me, these prices feel like a fab and shouldn't be like this.
Gamestop's core Financials are sound, but the TCG scene feels scummy.
As someone who wont camp out for a day to get product, I am happy to pay a premium in order for GameStop to have product on hand. Just my oppinion tho. Your thoughts are valid tbh
I respect your opinion ape, but where do you draw the line? This is a television show and product that is marketed to kids and teens.
The numerous cards in
almost every release which are priced at values that are absurdly unaffordable for the demographic is what makes me feel like the entire Pokémon market is scummy
Where do you get MSRP? All I see is Amazon selling for $10/pack and GameStop selling for $5-$6/pack lol. Can't find prices anywhere near that with actual availability, like target or Walmart
Five below with 10% off coupon. They have singles and 3-packs for $6 and $15 respectively. Spent $90 there this weekend (they have daily limits per customer, so I went sat/sun and bought my limit).
Ya but if it isn't in stock anywhere for $50, you could say MRSP was 50 cents, and that doesn't mean jack shit. It's worth what it's being sold for availably lmao
The unintelligent mindset that doesn't understand the pokemon market and seeks to demean other people (who are offering informed and valid viewpoints) for their own lack of knowledge in this subject area strikes me as an early 20s mindset (what you're doing). Gamestop has been profitable, since before they decided to markup their markups even higher. While this helps with profit, this also damages the image and reputation of a retailer trying to pivot into a collectibles market dominated by the Pokemon fan base that it is alienating with its industry high mark ups.
"Bro" regardless you're getting ripped off on a set that's brand new for for a 36% markup from MSRP. Im telling you there's cheaper places to buy these things.

not worth buying cards from amazon at any price. received opened and resealed packs before from amazon, not even a 3rd party seller.
THIS happens alot
I was just looking for these yesterday and they were out of stock. Thanks for sharing.
Im going to be downvoted.

YEP. It’s honestly kind of gross how much these products are marked up. It absolutely feels like they’re taking advantage of consumers.
I’m a fan of GME, I like the stock, and am a long time holder, but I agree that this pricing is disgusting

Target, Walmart, Costco, bjs, Barnes and noble all sell for msrp. GameStop is acting like a lcs when it isn’t, shame on them imo.
Anti consumer.
Also FB marketplace and offerup, Mercari

Geez 75$ for a Phantasmal etb. Ripped off
Well I just bought one of Amazon for $108 that I'm now returning, so not sure how I'm getting ripped off 😂
Because it’s 15% above msrp. Rip off.
Big dawg MSRP is $50 for an ETB

Hard to swallow pills for a lot lol
The early 20s mindset that doesn't understand that a company needs to markup product to be profitable to stay open lol

But they aren't industry high 😂 how is $74 > $110 that Amazon is selling it for
Amazon is not a part of the retail industry. Here comes that early 20s mindset that you know everything.
"Amazon is not a part of the retail industry". Not really sure what to say to that. Factually... just wrong lol.
Pokémon cards have the highest demand in history right now. It is hilarious that people think this won't cause an increase in price.
I'm just saying, I'm glad GameStop is selling so much cheaper than the competition. Not much else to say

Please provide a link for packs that are cheaper elsewhere and available
