hi! i just started using Suno last month to make actual songs out of lyrics i wrote back in high school (9-10 years ago). though it’s pretty obvious the songs were written in 2016 by an 18 year old (they’re not masterpieces by any means), i’m still quite proud of the lyricism and bringing them to life through Suno was an amazing experience.

i was wondering how exactly i should go about posting them. should i put them on the Suno site at all, or straight to Spotify/YouTube? and on Spotify/YouTube, do i create a stage name to put the music/albums under, as if it’s a person? will it matter that the voices can sort of drastically sound different from song to song? and there are a few mistakes Suno made, such as mispronouncing words or even mumbling over certain words. i can’t pay for the premium version of Suno so i can’t go in and edit them manually. will the mistakes matter?

any advice and tips are all welcome! 😊

  • Try posting it on tiktok, choose your best hook. If it’s good you will generate some sort of traffic.

  • Both. Publish to get picked up in the suno platform and interact with others as they interact with you. Share ideas.

My main suggestion is using the studio feature to modify the track EQ filters so you can bring out the selective frequencies of the stems as you feel work best.

Other than that, if the quality is good, just curate your own album mox, release to the platforms (I use amuse to distribute) then, drop the combined mix as a single video, or make lyric videos. Viewers on YouTube love lyric videos.

  • Free songs you can upload you youtube so long you dont monetize.

You can fix the lyrics by making a new free version. I would never upload a song with anything wrong.

Or you save up 10$ and fix them later.

To upload a song to spotify you need to pay more to like distrokid to get them up. So it cost to upload to those sites

  • Look, I started like this too, I had lyrics from when I was in a band, but no one paid any attention, first review the lyrics, try to leave them in the meter and rhymes so that Suno can sing, but don't lose the idea of the lyrics, if you have any doubts, go to GPT or someone else, leave it right, then use v4.5 pro if you want more control or v5 if you want a more descriptive style prompt, make many versions and adjust the prompt until you get what you want, export the steam and take it to the DAW do the equalization, mix and mastering and if you need to include samplers, when you think it's good you need a distributor I use Ditto until it's going well, more research, then yes you send it if you don't edit it well in the DAW it will be marked as an AI song forget Meta, Tiktok YouTube music and Apple because rejection is big, I think that's it... Success I wanted to see if your lyrics are the same as mine hahahahah if you want to send a pm we'll talk 👍🏻

  • Doesnt really matter cos noone will listen to them unless you tell them too

Put em on youtube and send to friends and family.

Or better still try and market them with your persona or whatever so you can experience the pain of noone wanting to listen to your "music" without the joy that comes from actually creating it.

you must be fun at parties.

if its really good people will listen.

i did, and you’re right, it’s great! it’s a similar-ish style to some of the music i’ve been making ☺️

You’re so sweet, my 15 year old made that. I’ll pass on your kind words

I'm going to listen just to piss off the anti AI's

One person outta the 57 listened to it and it’s a good song.

I like your stuff. Sounds like fun bar music
