Depends on their horror tolerance, like I can handle Courage the Cowardly Dog and Martin Mystery when I was young so Stranger Things fit my alley on creepiness thriller.
Meanwhile I still avoid like other 99% horror stuff since they are just jumpscares with insufferable cast.
My horror tolerance was LOW. The movie Coraline scared 8yo me so bad that I’d make my mom sit in the bathroom while I showered, and I had to sleep in her bed for months.
Stranger things would’ve had me in the hospital
im so sorry to laugh but its so funny only because I think I was exactly 8 too, and coraline was my favorite movie😭 all my friends went home crying ehen we saw it together and I didn't understand why LOL
It just hit me, but they gave young Mike, current mikes hair, it should be a straightened helmet like we see in season 1 lol (I assume Karen does mikes hair and straightens it, feels like some 80s mother behavior)
They probably needed some way of quickly differentiating them to the audience without dialogue but yeah, season 1 Mike's helmet hair wasn't that different than Will's bowlcut. But this way you can tell which kid is supposed to be which. Little Will also looks like he's wearing his season 4 outfit.
This is not Mike and Will from S1. This is Mike and Will when they were in kindergarten 😅. In S2, Mike said that the best thing he ever did was ask Will to be his friend. On the first day of kindergarten, they were both alone. Mike saw Will on the swings, went over, asked if they could be friends, and Will said yes.
Ik im saying his hair should be like season 1’s cuz it’s the youngest we see him, and most mothers in the 80s only knew one haircut, I mean they literally do that for will
they are cute kids but I was so mad at this scene tbh...we literally meet them as kids sin s1 and these kids look nothing like them...you can't put a bowl cut on any kid and tell us it's Will, it didn't feel believable for me...and dude I don't know the whole cutsie flashbacks right before will finds his strength or his power or whatever just felt like an easy reach, it was corny and out of sync with the rythm of the show.
To be fair, it’s intentional because that’s exactly the kinds of things Eleven was doing to access and enhance her own powers. So if it’s corny, it’s at least fitting with the rhythm of the show.
Mhm well said. Love has been shown to be the strongest source of power that she can tap into, and I think that's what Will was doing too, by loving and accepting himself. It might be corny but they're totally gonna defeat Vecna with the power of love and friendship and I'm so here for it.

It's funny that these kids are probably younger than the show itself lol.
I wonder how much they’d actually seen of it. Would their parents let them have full context?

This sounds exactly like my daughter but she’s 11 😂 No tolerance for anything even slightly scary
hahaha I wonder if she will grow out of it! I can watch things like ST now but absolutely no horror movies 😭
Same!!! Coraline had me shook

obviously none.
like the kid in the shinning had NO CLUE what they were filming, they just told him it was a couple having fights 🤣
When these kids grow up they could make an insane podcast out of this.
WAIT THEY LOWKEY ARE
this is so cute 😭❤️
Yeah, this is a freaking adorable photo!!!
This scene pulled at my heart strings for sure.
Why doesn’t the bigger Will just absorb the smaller Will for more power
Cuz lil Will aint been to the upsidedown yet
No one likes thinking about it but no denying it's the best option they have
Or devour him but definitely one of the two

The clips we see in the flashback scene in episode 4 happen before season 1 of the show

get over it!
Done!
awww the lil bbys 💕💕💕
they look soooo freaking cute ❤️
I respect them for using real actors not cgi or Ai or anything but common even in s1 wills bowl was not that chopped 😭
season 1-2 bowl cut didnt look bad at all, it fit his face, season 3 its looks a lil bad & season 4 it looks ass
The bowlcut oh my goodness.
Either way Will was so cute when he was younger and grew into a handsome young man

What is James Acaster doing here
Taskmaster James if at it lol

awwwww guys y’all kno that’s my nephew, right?
Young Mike was just in the pro shot of Merrily We Roll along 😭

Eh I’d agree that wills kid version is awful but I think mikes is really good
