I, too, am autistic, and, as the OP, am not wanting anything except peoples' honest feeling of what flavor they would associate with Steely Dan. For me it is black licorice - maybe because I haven't had scotch or vanilla tobacco (which sounds like to me).
I haven't a clue what a velvet caramel core tastes like, but it sounds...i had written good, but, on further speculation, it sounds too sweet for thw Dan.
