I am aware that I will keep the achievements from that game, but does that game disappear from my perfect games category if I leave the family share? Also does the family shared games affect the Avg. Game Completion Rate if I leave the family share?

Also this might be a bit stupid question, but everyone have their own achievements on the family share, right? I just want to be sure because I am planning of creating a family share between multiple accounts.

Thank you in advance!

  • achievements are bound to your account, but sadly no other stats you mentioned

  • The achievements and perfect games will stay tied to your account and are individual to you, even if they are from family shared games. Not sure about whether the completion rate would be affected but I think it probably won't change if you leave the family.

  • but does that game disappear from my perfect games category

That depends on what you mean by "perfect games category". If you're referring to the count shown on profile showcase then it will still be included, if you've tagged the game for inclusion on a library collection the game will retain that tag but no longer be visible in the collection.

Also does the family shared games affect the Avg. Game Completion Rate if I leave the family share?

Yes. Once you unlock your first achievement in game that game is permanently factored into your AGC. How you acquired the game and whether you still own it are irrelevant. Even if you used third party tools to reset all your achievements for the game it would still gavtorninto your AGC.

but everyone have their own achievements on the family share, right?

Yes. Every a count ina Steam family has their own achievements, stats and cloud saves. However rid you have multiple Steam accounts playing on a single.device makebsure you're also using seperate OS user accounts or you'll likely experience conflicts with shared save files.

Thank you so much, this answer was really helpful!

With "perfect game category" I meant when someone goes in my profile, looks at the Games I own, and then chooses "Perfect Games".

Also thank you for the tip about about having multiple Windows accounts. I indeed use the same device so I will probably have to make different Windows account just so that there isn't any problems.

Just double checked mine to confirm and family shared games from a family I've since left are still showing in the list.
