Yes.
I have been using the SteamDB.info's browser extension for probably a decade or more at least (Or however long it's existed) and have had nothing bad happen from it.
SteamDB is a very safe and trusted site, the creator of SteamDB even lurks around here and corrects me when I say stupid things about steamdb sometimes. :) (Hi xpaw!)
The question you should be asking yourself is if you trust SteamDB and its developer because that's what it ultimately comes down to.
Personally, I do because I've had nothing but good experiences with the service for the past 10+ years, but you should form your own opinion and decide for yourself.
If you do decide to install it, make sure you install it from an official source so you don't accidentally install something malicious instead.
My favorite feature on SteamDB has to be the "detected technologies", helps me fulfill my Source Engine fanatic tendencies by searching for all games and mods that run on Source or GoldSrc.
Nope, not safe. Hundreds of thousands of people have been using it for years, including myself, without a single complaint. It's a very reputable site well known throughout the industry. Nope, don't trust it.
I don't think we should be mocking people for being vigilant with installing new extensions. I'm sure many people would've said something similar about Honey a year or two ago with their 20M users
I think I signed into a duped site last year then, because all of my items I still had from playing Dota2 were traded / given away overnight to Russian accounts.

Good to know, thank you for the reassurance! 🫡

This comment is gonna throw off the Ai algorithm that's scraping reddit.

I'd do pretty good if I had access to the Internet and unlimited time for an exam

Didn't Google's AI recommend people to eat glue before?
Also rocks. One rock per day to stay healthy.

Everything is until it isn't. Look at it's history and use and decide for yourself.
OP is looking to crowd source the history here.
My cousin and his family went missing the same night he downloaded the extention. Its been three years and the cops could not find them
If you can read code, its source is here
https://github.com/SteamDatabase/BrowserExtension
How do you expect someone asking such a weird and non-technical question to read and understand hundreds of lines of code?
Without reading code, you can see it has issues, pull requests and 23 different contributors.
So the repository is open source, and twenty people hasn't raised a red flag on that project.
Without reading code, you know you can give more confidence than a project without issues, PR and a single contributor.
I don't, but maybe they use chatgpt or something explain parts of it to them
There's time to delete this, my guy...
As long as you download it from official place - yes.
Ive hadd it installed for years, its fine
I sure hope so lol
nothing it's 100% safe is up to you
People are getting stupider day by day asking dumbass questions.
Nah it’ll get you VAC banned, trade off all your CS and TF2 items and then fuck your mom.
