Since i watched DiU for the First time, i always I wondered about that, It something related Is it something related to the sun or something Else?? Share your Thoughts
Fun Fact: In the spin-off Thus Spoke Kishibe Rohan, the sky of morioh is blue, made me question about this even more

Bizarre isn't it?
Makes for quite an adventure
One fit for the name jojo
so what shall we name this... bizarre adventure that iojo goes on?
Sounds long. How about.... JoJo's Bizarre Adventure...
That is a bizarre name...fit for such an adventure.
but... what shall we name jojos bizarre adventure in this certain town of craziness, noisiness and bizarreness??
That does sound for quite a good opening but what will we do when they need to chase someone
well that certainly wouldnt be among the list of great days jojo has had
Pretty sure it’s just a stylistic choice some of arakis illustrations for part 4 feature a yellow sky as well
Morioh's a weird little provincial town where strange things happen and everything is off. Its kind of its own self contained bubble and the sky reflects that
exactly, there’s literally a alien in part 4 and they wondering why the sky yellow
I miss Morioh. At first I was annoyed at the idea of staying in one town the entire series after coming in from stardust crusaders. But then I really grew to love it and was sad we never saw or heard of it again. Or Josuke. 😭
kid named part 8:
Boy do I have news for you
There is a prequel manga about Josuke meeting Hol Horse and it is very good
Its kind of nice that josuke gets to have a quiet life
The sky also refracts that
ive seen stranger things
Say that again..
I read somewhere that its used to portay an "off" feeling in the town. Like somethings up and that causes a sense of unease
Like , a bizarre feeling ?
Some would say that the town is crazy, noisy AND Bizarre
the yellow sky feels more happy than uneasiness
Abbacchio teapot reference
Crazy
Noisy
Bizarre
Town
💎?
It's a stylistic choice, in universe the sky is normal until some character states something like "Boy howdy, the sky here in Morioh sure is yellow."
Kira killed so many fucking people that the sky turned yellow from their souls
only acceptable explanation
Art.
Because its not jojo's normal adventure
jiji's mundane frolicking
Its actually ジョジョの奇妙な冒険
Because of the golden wind.
1) JoJo tends to have weird colors.
2) Probably to reflect the warm but bizarre nature of the town.
Same reason why Jotaro's hat fuses into his hair.
I always that his high school era hat was torn at the back of it and his hair stuck out but both the hat and his hair were the same color giving it the illusion of it being fused
This is plausible for his black hats, but gets completely thrown out for his white hats.
I was just looking at his white hat from Golden Wind. I kind don’t like that one because it break the fused delusion but it does appear that it’s torn but the black hair sticks out the back.
My headcanon is that a dog took the hat and Jotaro most the back half trying to get it back. And then it happened all over again to his next hat.
I am going to go with that. Or it happened once he liked the way it looked it let it happen again.
You can literally see the white fade to black.
In morio for some reason unknown to researchers, yellow has a shorter wavelength than blue and scatters more easily
is this actually jojo lore or
No
Maybe its a crazy noisy bizarre town
Because we're under drugs, Giorno's not born.
With how stylized JoJo's anime can be with its use of color, I didn't take it as objective fact that the sky is yellow. I figured it was there for the vibes.
I always kinda figured it was like, some kind of summer sky type deal
Color in jojo is based on vibes.
Yeah, this
Believe it or not, there are actual town skies like these in Japan, because of Tomatoes
How?
So basically Japanese farmers use Red and Blue LED lights to speed up the growth of Tomatoes. These LED lights get reflected off of low clouds, causing the sky colors to change.
The camera is color blind.
Doesn't JoJo's not have a canon color scheme or something?
breaking bad mexico filter
jojo in mexico
Abbacchio pissed in the heavens.
Because the Sky is a reflection of the lake and the lake is made of piss.
The reflection of the piss ocean makes the sky piss
Looks cool
That's the vibe
this is jojo’s
Vibes
Pollution from the nearby factories
Aesthetic
Same reason that Rohan's hair becomes 3 different colors in 30 seconds.
Style
It's because the artists damn well pleased.
Hope this helped 👌🏻
Looks cooler
Because the scenery is already very cool-toned–a blue sky would make it overwhelmingly cool in colors. The yellow is not only a stylistic choice, but a color balance choice to keep the image from being too much of one thing.
I believe it's stylistic.
But I think the yellow sky also gives of the feeling that it's evening. It's when you hang out with your friends after school and go on adventures.
But it also suggests the day is ending soon, and all will end too. Which matches the setting of Part 4 being set in the 1999, the end of the decade/century.
Stylistic choice to both make the place seem overly bright/happy and also continually off-putting because there's something wrong with the town (serial killers and suspicious people). Notice that the trees are often purple too
I hope they do that for part 8
Araki's art style isnt meant to reflect accurate colors, it meant for you to feel emotion depending on how something is colored thats why in alot of parts there are odd color choices
Ah the yellow skies of Morioh take me back, I spent lots of great days there.
Piss
Art
Probably just artistic flair, but I like to think it’s a sign that Morioh is a supernatural hotspot like others have said
Stylistic decision. Most things in the series don't have canon colour palettes unless explicitly stated (e.g: Giorno's hair turning blonde)
Morioh is so bizzare, even the atmosphere is made out of 70% Sulfur Dioxide that's why. All jokes aside what i know is that this is an artistical choice. All Morioh residents are 100% human. I hope. No they aren't.
So it can be my background
Piss
DIO pissed on it
Because for Araki, color is used to express mood and aesthetics rather than trivia like what color things are.
Its just a sunrise throughout the whole season
Lol OP thought it was some lore with the sun or something, rough
Isn’t it quite bizarre
It's foreshadowing Giorno's piss tooth.
It’s cool
Its literally named piss town, mfs really dont know how to read
Good question did the skyes in manga were piss colored too?
it rains pee there
Are you serious ..? Jesus Christ
Stylistic choice
It’s JoJo, only canon color is Dio’s hair
They're just following Araki's official coloring. Morioh is often depicted with orange/brown sky
That's what makes morioh special
It rains piss instead of water
Pizz
It’s a bizarre town. Pretty crazy and noisy too.
It improves the theme of bizarreness and the atmosphere of that part
yellow or gold? a golden experience ig
I do like morioh atmosphere i wish I was born in a town like morioh
The real question is why the sky in SO is the only blue sky
idk, but it's one of the reasons i prefer the manga where it's blue
Araki pissed into the sky
To imply that something is wrong with morioh (when kira was alive)
I peed on it
It’s bizarre
We all know the sea’s color reflects the sky. Gosh, just imagine Moriojo’s seaside🤮🤮🤮 Jotaro traveled all the way from America only to see what looks like a huge pool full of nasty little kids peeing in the water while swimming
It makes for a more eerie feeling imo. Like part 4 is a thriller in a sleepy town, if the sky was blue things would be a bit too normal. With it being yellow you feel a bit uneasy no matter whats happening. And that is the point.
Why are Jotaro and DIO flying? I find it a little bizarre
Art style?
Prominent Sunset/Sunshine?
Could be anything.
There are no canon colors in jojo
Looks cool
maybe because its a strange town
It seems to me that this is just the style of this part, and the spinoff was drawn by another studio.
I'm pretty sure thus spoke Koshibe Rohan is also animated by david productions
They just mimicking Araki's official manga coloring
It's a crazy, noisy, bizarre town.
It's just a "Crazy Noisy Bizarre Town!"
It’s a crazy noisy bizzare town 👀
Idk, it bothers me lol
Jaundice sky
It's almost as if JoJo's is one of those series with unique design choices but who knows since Araki is known for NEVER playing with colors or different designs. I think it is canon that in Part 4 the sky is full of Dio's piss and that's why it's yellow but in Thus spoke Kishibe Rohan he is a mangaka and used his brush to wipe Dio piss off the sky. Hope that helps.
