How would you grade it on its own merit? Knowing a lot of us including myself prefer the classic games.

  • Its a competent stealth/action game. Nothing out of the ordinary, but it does what it wants to do well.

Compared to the others? It may not be as good as the old ones, but I do think it was an step in the good direction after Conviction.

  • I give it a negative rating as it has Forced Motion Blur which makes the game physically painful for me to play. -10/10. Without that it'd be a 6/10, as it's a horrible Splinter Cell game but a good stealth action game with tons of content.

Take away the crime that is Motion Blur and the Splinter Cell title and it's an 8/10 or even a 9/10.

  • outstanding, just not a traditional splinter cell game.

  • I enjoyed it immensely as a kid and I played the SP over a dozen times, and co-op with my brother was a core memory.

But replaying it now I cringe so hard at the dialogue and how the cutscenes try so hard to be Bourne that it becomes funny.

  • It was better while coop was available

  • I personally like my action games fast and awesome, and my stealth games slow and, for lack of a better term, boring. Blacklist is okay enough at what it tries to do, but I feel like it trying to appease all camps holds it from truly excelling in any one category. Also, not a fan of how automated/magnetized so many actions feel.
