• The thing I cannot get over is that they think the right to travel (which they actually do have) translates directly to an uncondtional right to operate a motor vehicle on government built and maintained roads. How does any logic, anyone could have, lead down that path?

What about building and flying a space craft? Do they think they have that right too?

Yes, they found the hack to the universe that allows them to ignore all set norms, guidelines, state and local laws because they aren’t a sucker like all of us normal people. The more I think about your question though the “rules” they follow all seem to be derived by misinterpreting federal law so maybe they believe in the FAA.

I think the crux is that they don't want to pay for anything and that everyone else should fund them. Weird state of mind really.

Of course they have a right to travel but not to travel on roads that need maintenance without contributing to said maintenance.

It's not the late 17th century. Even then if you wanted to ride/travel on the best roads it would cost you.

Imagine these motherfuckers back then coming to the turnpike with this nonsense.

In those days they would risk misplacing their heads for the crap they try to pull now.

While there is a “right to travel” they fail to understand that all rights have restrictions.

This one comes with the state’s right to control traffic for the safety, health, and order of all citizens (and non citizens as well).

Using their “logic” they have a right to travel the wrong way on a one-way road, or travel on foot down the middle of the interstate.

The state isn’t controlling your traveling, rather your MODE of travel.

Court cases have said that controlling one mode of travel does not interfere with your ability to travel.

All any cop or judge has to do is point out the 10th amendment of the US constitution that explicitly establishes States rights. Which crushes all their arguments. The State’s statute on driving regulations is guaranteed by that amendment.

I've seen that pointed out in some Van Balion and KFARR videos, some cops will point out the 10th amendment or Pennsylvania vs Mims and these fools will literally say, "Well those ones don't count...." It is unbelievable. Or the other one, if they say laws don't apply to them and they don't have to follow them, why do they quote them? They will literally say anything and everything to dodge responsibility and as soon as a counter to their argument is pointed out they just ignore it.

I am sure they think that the rights apply to them and the responsibilities do not

It gets worse. I've several times had that debate with some of them and essentially their mindset is that you can get drunk and speed all you like down the road in city center and it's all fine. As long as you didn't hit anybody the police shouldn't do anything.

And that the right to travel is so absolute that you can't even imprison anyone since that violates that right.

That's how absurd their idea is.

So yes. They should be able to fly a space rocket if they want to. According to them of course.

Out of interest, do they also support any and all immigration to their country, or do they dislike the idea of "foreigners"?

I wouldnt know. We dont have sovcits in my country. Im not an American. Ive just seen and read a ton about them so I know what they argue and largely how they think.

Interestingly enough Stockton Rush went your spaceship route with some submarines. Oh, wait...

I have a right to eat sandwiches which means I have Sovereign right to enter any location, make myself a sandwich, and leave the dishes behind.

The right to bear arms means everybody is allowed to have nuclear weapons. /s

for free Just order a nuke from Raytheon and tell them to take the money out of your birth certificate. They have to send you one.

We couldn’t be less responsible than some of the governments that stole this tech from the U.S.

We can still hug with nuclear arms!

As long as I reserve the right to arm bears.

But if you have a nuclear weapon who's going to take it away from you? After all, you have a nuclear weapon to defend yourself with.

Its a might makes right sort of thing.

Its also why obeying the law is a thing and why judges cannot be ignored. Sovcits think magic words are power. They're wrong, power is power.

There may be a thousand formalities before force is applied, but eventually you will obey the law because men with guns say you will.

From my hot glowing green hands.

Well, there is this one fellow from South Africa who thinks this… I believe he also is deluded…

I agree that fellow is delusional. But building and flying spacecraft might be the one legit thing he does.

The companies he's purchased have done lots of legit things. Him, not so much.

Because in one old dictionary that no one uses it says travel = move via car, horse or on foot. Black Laws dictionary.

You can move via car without operating the vehicle. Even with that bizarre technicality, the right to travel (via car) is not taken away. Just the right to be the operator of the car

Can I ask why do you think they don't have the right to do all of those things without an overlord and also what has a so called sovereign citizen ever done to you to hurt you and why are you protecting the people that enslave you? Then look at the facts. Banks and corporations run our government and media on tv and radio. They tell you what to think. They tell you that you need to get a loan from a bank that makes the money from nothing like a scammer. No difference. They then put a hidden chain around you. You work and then give almost half your money away. Almost slavery but it is when the rest goes to the bank and to the corporations that have monopolized everything and control everything and own everything including the homes. Sovereign citizens is what banks call people who have woken up to this and government scams that sell off all our resources for zero money while you pay. Sovereign citizens is a contradiction and I think it should be called free men and women. Corporations cause every problem.

First off, a technciality - our constitution is based on states rights. States have the right to say you can't drive the roads the state or towns paid for with tax money unless you are licensed to drive, registerred your car, and have insurance.

But aside from the states rights there are practical reasons. The biggest is safety. If you have not learned the rules of the road, or learned how to properly operate a car, you are potentially a danger to others. If you have not registered your car it is potentially dangerous, but also you are not paying your share of the costs to build maintain and patrol the roads for safety, and to maintain good traffic flow.

The other things you talk about are not this issue. I get it. You want small government. You have the right to want that. But you (and they) do not have the right to violate the laws of the state you are in to protest. These "Free men and women" seem to want all of the rights of citzenship and they want the right to use all the advantages of infrastructure created by government, but they don;t want to abide by the rules or pay their fair share for it.

There are absolutely places, even in ths country where people can go and buy realtively cheap land in the middle of the wilderness and live without ALMOST any taxes or impositions from the government or society. You can form your own little village build your own housing and infrastucture and use barter or whatever alternate money system you want, which would virtually eliminate taxes. But you dont get to take advantage of society that we all pay for and claim you want all of the advantages and rights but you don;t want to follow the rules or pay your share.

    Sorry no.

why do you think they don't have the right to do all of those things

The U.S. Supreme Court ruled over a century ago that the states are within their constitutional police powers to regulate the operation of all motor vehicles on public roads including with licensing and registration. There is no such thing as a right to drive without a valid license, registration and insurance.

It was early sovcits who created the term "sovereign citizen," specifically the head of the Posse Comitatus militia group. Later, bad press caused sovcits to dislike that term, but at this point they are stuck with it.

No sovcit has ever prevailed in court on the merits of their pseudo-legal fantasies. That should be a clue for you.

Hey, I'm pretty sure you're in the wrong group there buddy. But hey, if you're a masochist I guess you can keep going. I'm sure the group members will oblige you and continue to set the records straight.

  • What? You mean your made-up document based on what some circle-jerking idiots made you believe is a correct legal basis doesn't work in the real world? Shocking!

They don't understand it's basically a cosmetic piece of paper and not associated with any local or international databases.

These idiots go around like they have the psychic paper from Doctor Who except it really is just a blank piece of paper.

What about that star I bought and named after my cat, that has to be legit.

Let me call NASA and verify….

I'm sorry, Felix-217 is actually just a big ball of hydrogen.

    Oh, wait...

  • These ones are my favorite.

"I'm completely sovereign. Also, I have requested help from my actual government."

Like, yeah the people who go to the bank and commit fraud and are confused are funny too. But the ones who claim to be sovereign and simultaneously use resources from a government they want away from are always a chefs kiss.

I had a similar thought. If he’s a non-citizen (of everywhere, presumably), what entity does the passport belong to…?

It gets better. In court they always insist that they isn't a person.

But the US constitution gives rights to persons.

So if you're not a person, you don't have any rights.

<Insert meme with man sweating over dilemma buttons>

Yes. They have a very specific definition of what a person is. Everything with these fools is about semantics. They use a strict definition from one context and apply it to everything else.

    I can "overstand" that! 😁

Except that organizations and businesses have rights because they are formed of people. How else does a retail store have religious rights.

Yeah by that logic you could steal from any company and they cant press charges since they arent a living person..

A business is also legally, gasp, a person.

  • Of course they aren't gonna run a five star passport, you need at least a seven star or the platinum plus membership.

  • What he is taking about is a US Passport card.

One reason SovCits apply for passports is that they think they can get a “US National” passport, instead of a US Citizen one. Supposedly, the US National passport confers certain diplomatic privileges without tying you to the US Federal government. All they have to do is attach the right mumbo jumbo paperwork to the passport application and they get a US National Passport rather than a US Citizen one.

This swell US National passport is tied to a database that every law enforcement officer, immigration official, and government bureaucrat has access to. When you give them your passport as ID, they run it through the database and it comes up “US National. Do not detain. Do not interrogate. Do not arrest. Permitted to drive in all 50 states.” Some believe that “Permitted to carry a concealed weapon in all 50 states” is also part of it.

The officer will tip their hat, thank you for your time, and send you on your way. The stupid cop here refused to check the database.

In reality, what usually happens when you submit the mumbo jumbo is that you are just issued a regular passport. However, as more SovCits are doing this, the Passport Office is starting to return the application for revision

There actually is a US National passport. It is available to a handful of Pacific Islanders who do not have birthright citizenship. It allows them to live & work in the US. You must apply in person at a Passport Office. I’ve seen a couple of reports from SovCits who tried this & were refused.

The US also issues a Passport Card, good only for land & sea travel to Canada, Mexico and some Caribbean islands. It’s for frequent travelers who don’t want to carry around a full passport book. You can get it alone or in addition to a passport book.

The passport card has a row of asterisks (stars) on it. The US Paasport Agency says it’s a security feature, but SovCits swear the number of stars indicates your status in the database. A 5-star passport is the swellest of them all.

Thank you for your gobblygook to reality- English translation.

Wish I could award you bc this is exactly what they think

What do the 5 stars mean??? I have looked it up online and saw 3 4 or 5 star variations do in fact exist. How many do you have on your passport card?

For what it's worth, I asked copilot this and the answer I got was that it's a security feature for authenticating the card as genuine, not tied to any status of the individual. But the US state department has declined to explain what it is or how it works.

The hardest part of the process for getting recognized as a non-citizen US national is convincing the State department that you were born in American Samoa.

There actually is a US National passport.

Such a passport has an endorsement printed inside: The bearer is a U.S. National but not a U.S. citizen.

Sovicts send in sovcit gibberish with a passport application in the belief they will be issued a special State National passport. But the State Dept. ignores the gibberish and sends them a regular passport. Sovcits explain away the lack of a printed endorsement identifying their special status by claiming that information is only revealed when the passport is scanned into a computer. They fail to explain why American Samoans get a U.S. passport with an endorsement printed inside, but American State Nationals do not.

Like everything they say, it doesn't make sense.

  • Why is he bothering government officials for a country he isn't a citizen of?

  • "I tried the thing that never works, and that people show up here every day complaining that never works. How do all the people for whom this must have worked make it work?"

  • We need to see the letter that was written to the representative. I'm sure it's gold. Pure gold.

I'm sure it's 40-100 pages long, contains lots of references to the Bible, and if it's like the last few I've seen, refers to things that were 'officially published to the world on Facebook'

Don’t forget about how the Magna Carta has the reference to modern motor vehicles and that all men should be free to travel in them without joinder to the DMV.

How can we forget Magna Carta? Did she die in vain?

She used her entire trust account to spread the joy of freedom and accepted for value utility bills.

It genuinely is something like that.

I used to work at a place that had a sovcit bothering us. He was a customer and unhappy with his purchase of a computer.

After much annoyance we agreed to provide him a full refund even 3 years after he bought it. This was extraordinarily generous to him and wildly out of normal return policies, but the exception was made because he was such a pain in the ass and we just wanted to totally ban him and cut all ties.

A full refund of a 3 year old computer wasn't good enough for him because he refused to return it. He kept writing extremely long letters (50+ pages long), harassing employees, and trying to file personal lawsuits against the company.

So far as I know he never got his computer refunded.

  • What is the world coming to when your pretend passport isn't recognized as such by anyone in the real world and you actually have to obey the law like everyone else.

  • Five star? That doesn’t work any more.

You need a six star one. Just click on this link and for a small fee I can help you get one. Of course that fee is payable in USD, nothing from phoney baloney trust funds.

You heard of this thing, the 5-Star passport? ... Yeah, this is going to blow that right out of the water. Listen to this: 6-Star passport . . . Think about it.

That’s right. That’s – that’s good. That’s good. Unless, of course, somebody comes up with a 7 star passport. Then you’re in trouble, huh?

Or wait…. Just hear me out….. A TEN star passport??!!

    My Passport goes to 11.

You must have the final boss of passports. 😂

  • That’s not the only thing he doesn’t understand.

  • He's not a "citizen" yet he went to the SOS office and contacted his Representative of the state he's not part of?

  • Begins babbling about a "non-citizen national passport" and then talks about writing his representative when the adult world doesn't give him his way.

  • In both states I’ve lived in you pay tax on the car when you register it, so I’m pretty sure he just failed to pay.

  • I'm going to put my head above the parapet and say his sales tax was waived because he mistakenly declared that he was a tourist and still doesn't realize what he's done.

  • SovCits are a bit like Libertarians who are like house cats in that they’re convinced of their fierce independence while dependent on a system they don’t appreciate or understand.

  • That name is McLovin level, so fake?

Maybe if Mumbles spoke up the cop would’ve understood him.

  • How did he get the sales tax waived? That’s low- key impressive, I gotta say.

Like, legally? Varies by state. Some states exempt some people and business entities from this or that tax on a vehicle. IIRC registering your car in I think Montana or one of the Dakotas is a way to do this.

Now, fraud on the other hand, that shit works everywhere until it doesn't.

Usually there is no tax for a title; you pay tax for registration

Most states have a sales tax which is charged on the vehicle itself. The image in OP says they avoided sales tax. This can be done legally in certain cases depending on state. Titling and registration are separate animals.

In some states if you buy the car outright you pay the tax when you register. And he didn’t register his car. Registering your can in Montana, which some of them do, is not legal if you neither live, work, not drive in Montana.

  • But ... it's five star!!11!!!1!

  • Mumbles is a good name for this fool.

  • So much effort to get so little (or nothing).

Geez just spend an hour going to the DMV and get your license. It will save you so much time and you can believe whatever you want in the privacy of your own home. Why fight something that has literally zero impact on your life.

If they own child support or have unpaid tickets they have a suspended license so they can’t get a license only these novelty passports that cost them stupid money

If he does that he might get joindered, though.

  • Even the UN’s Declaration of Human Rights doesn’t include a right to travel. There is a right to claim asylum in another country and a right to change nationalities but not a general right to travel.

  • A guy whose screen name is “Mumbles” can’t figure out how things work? Now there’s a shocker.

  • I'm really intrigued about the comment section.

"Isn't amazing if you say your American state national people think your crazy I am a Continental Marshal people want to know your qualifications. But you can say your gay or transgenter no problem."

That's a choice one for you. What is a Continental Marshal? I have no idea.

Others blamed a lack of training for LEO. I guess they missed the class on letting lunatics get away with using fake passports because they said so.

Another quote (sorry this subreddit doesn't allow photos in comments):

"mumbles, it's my understanding that a deputy sheriff already knows this. they just disobey because of the federal grant money that they get since the '70s. i'd advise you to make sure the 2 people who vouched for you to do the same thing, but keep your autoinsurance. i think you should form a county chapter immediately, and file an indictment against that deputy sheriff."

I left all the spelling errors in for your amusement.

  • Hard to believe these dudes are serious.

  • Genuine question, where do you find these posts? Fb group?

There's several Facebook groups actually. I joined them simply to see this phenomenon in action.

  • Someone please direct him to that website, you know, the one in which they post all their sovcit success stories..... I couldnt find it but it must exist. Right?

  • And the benefit he got was no benefit because as far as I know there is no transfer tax when you are transferring property to a "trust"

I have a legitimate Living Trust and when I transferred the deed to my house to the Trust there was no sales or other fee charged because the County Recorder - which recorded the new title - recognized that it was a transaction between essentially the same entity and not a sales

I would be curious as to whether any of these posts actually receive advice on how to proceed.

  • Dude you DO NOT HAVE A LEGAL PASSPORT!!!!!!!!!!

  • If you aren't an United States citizen how do you have a representative??

  • Neither does anyone else 😂

  • He really needs the 6-star passport, but I’m not gonna tell him

  • They live in their own reality that is made up and situational depending on what they think they can get away with at the time.

Well, they do get away with it…. Until they don’t. And then they can’t understand…

  • He has a 5 star passport? So is there a 2 of 3 star passport?

Yes, but the stars on the card are meaningless and are only for use by the manufacturer of the cards.

  • I don’t understand why anyone wastes time with them. Write a ticket and impound the car.

  • That's the problem. He needed the super secret hidden 6 star passport. And, if he wants the special treatment get the one with clusters.

Should his passport have or not have the gold fringe? Asking for a friend…

Shhhhh.. that's the ultra super duper secret one we don't talk about.

I think he means 9 1/4 stars. You pick them up at the train station in London.

  • I like that "he wrote the representative for the district he is in "

  • A 5 star passport.  Does he not realize that they go up to 100 stars?

You must get at least 80 gold stars from your first grade teacher to attach to your fake passport

  • out of morbid curiosity are there like level of crazy-passports ? like 1 ,2, 3, 4 and 5 star ones? what do they think are the differences. IF I get a 5 star passport can I get into the mushroom kingdom?

  • How do you get the sales tax waived??WTF

    Don’t believe everything you read.

The secret ingredient is crime. In this case, fraud, I think.

  • There’s a very specific rule that applies to these sov cits, MLMs, antivax, crypto bros, etc:

Info that “they” don’t want you to know is downright intoxicating for the uneducated.

  • He has to check with Santa’s elves for that database at the North Pole.

  • The passport isn't a passport and doesn't work at all. And if the SOS waived the sales tax, they were wrong. And the "right to travel" doesn't mean what he thinks it does, there is no "trust name", he does need a driver's license, and his beliefs are going to cost him a lot of money and aggravation and perhaps his freedom.

  • I am more concerned that 16 people decided to like that pile of crap post.

  • I can't stop laughing
