i’m looking to move w my bf to a place but im not used to the city lifestyle and the grand looks pretty extremely big compared to what im used to im wondering about the crime and stuff is it safe we have a dog
I don't mean any offense but I've got to know where you're coming from and what your lifestyle is like that you consider Cherry Hill "the city lifestyle", are you on rumspringa?
As everyone else has said, it's Cherry Hill, it's extremely safe, extremely expensive.
You should really explore cherry hill before you commit to a place - judging by your comments on the city lifestyle, you don’t know what you’re getting into.
I second this. I live in cherry hill and love it but encourage looking around a bit. Will echo what everyone else says, cherry hill is definitely not city lifestyle. It’s a congested suburb.
Yes the grand is very safe. It is also very expensive. Great location though centralized in cherry hill right next to 295. If you can afford it you will like it they have great amenities.
very expensive? as a current resident I found it to be one of the best value options in Cherry Hill. Most other apartments of the same sqft and locations would be significantly more $
Idk I don’t live there I have a house in cherry hill. Apartment dog parks are really just a place for them to shit and piss lol there’s tons of great dog parks in the area there’s croft farm dog park and cooper river dog park not that far.
Cooper River dog park is amazing. The amenities are awesome. Poor behaved dog owners aside, I wish management at the Grand would at least have maintenance clean the park up once a week.
Cherry Hill has every amenity you’d expect in a suburb but you’ll have to drive to everything. There’s no center/downtown/main strip, it’s housing developments and shopping, etc. It is extremely expensive, has good schools, low crime, no charm.
I would worry less about the neighborhood and do more snooping about the landlord. Ask around and see if you can get tenants opinions on how often disrepair is dealt with and if the landlord gives them a hard time about it. General maintenance, plumbing, upkeep, pests… I don’t know too much about The Grand but I know a few buildings in that general area (a few tiers below in quality probably) were well known to have issues with the landlord there. I’m sure it’s a different owner but it’s good to ask, especially because of the proximity to said criticized apartments.
Lived in the grand for about 2 years a while back, it’s a nice complex with good proximity to a lot of things. There is a concierge in the ground floor during the day. Pretty pricey but clean. And plenty of people there have dogs so that’s not an issue
I lived there for 3 and half years, never any safety issues. It is dog friendly which can be hard to find in the area, especially if you have a bigger dog, and the dog park is nice but a little small compared to the playground. I enjoyed the pool and gym, but most of the other amenities are in the club house which is where all the property management people work so it's not very chill and it's closed a lot. Elevators broke down constantly while I lived there, so prepare to wait a lot which could be an issue with a dog. Staff and conceirge are nice, but the building does get pretty gross pretty fast from so many people and a laid back cleaning schedule. Like others have mentioned it is pretty expensive, but the actual units are very big and nice and if your high up you'll have a nice balcony view, and the building is very diverse. Hope this helps.
Had a few friends live there. It’s nice because bills are included, BUT AC is only on June-Sept. Hot water and AC breaks consistently, elevators break consistently, and expensive.
City lifestyle... in Cherry Hill?

rumspringa 😭👏🏼
Cherry Hill is not city, you have to drive most everywhere.
It’s not a walking city it’s still a city
It’s technically a township 🤷🏻♀️
You beat me to it!
It's not a City City like New York or Philadelphia

Cherry Hill really isn't like the city at all. You should be safe there

My son has been renting there for 2 years and likes it. Place is clean, well maintained and they respond to any repair problems quickly.
His only complain is that H-Mart is still closed.
Ugh they’re saying February now, some say APRIL. I’m running out of patience
Yes cherry hill is very safe and the grand is dog friendly they have dog park
A disgusting and poorly maintained dog park. It's an important detail to add.

I’m at Park Lane at Garden State Park. Great complex, great community, dog friendly. No complaints. Everything has been wonderful so far (7 months in)
Cherry hill is a overpopulated shit hole glad I got away when I did.
