It seems like it's nice and quiet there. I'm looking forward to it. What are some drawbacks, if any?

  • Im sorry I dont have anything to say in regards to literally living in that building but…

Solid area in terms of commuting. Can get to major highways fairly easily.

I cant imagine there is any real crime outside of some unruly bored teenagers.

The history of that complex is very interesting. I grew up in the area and had family that had a business in the complex. It was designed to be almost like a utopian society to live in. What I mean is that everything you could need would be there. Super market. Hair cut place. Restaurant. Shopping area. Bar. You can see the vision when you are near the clock tower. But the owner is a total piece of shit and didnt pay the people that he hired to do work. He told people “get in line, I have more money than u” He raised the rent an insane amount and drove everyone out. Now its mostly medical stuff.

Fun fact: main street pub was a flyers hang out in the 90s. A lot of them also lived there around that time.

Reagan gave a speech when it opened if I remember correctly. It was supposed to be a return to America’s Main Street of years past.

Reagan spoke there?!? Lol!! Did not know that!

Just took my daughter for a walk through there about 2 weeks ago and was showing her where the pub used to be. Pretty good wings iirc.

  • Lived there during COVID. It was ok. Neighbors were kinda shitty which ruined the experience. Also we got hit up for normal wear and tear when we left which was crappy but other than that it was alright. It left a bad taste in my mouth because I cleaned up the place really well.

  • I lived there. Kept to myself and everyone else did too. But both my neighbors were retired widows.

Rent was average. The pool was nice in the summer. Maintenance was responsive when things arose, which didn’t happen much.

I moved out in 2020, so it was a little bit ago
