When learning a new game, the most important part is always getting a hang of the mechanics first. So I'd not be too worried about builds at first, and the defaults are probably fine.
You could use a site like smitebrain.com though, for more actualized builds (that are better than the defaults). Though some might have active items, that might be too much to use when also learning the rest, in which case a passive item might do more.
When first playing, it's very easy to just build what the game recommends you to build to get some good understanding of how items work.
The builds the game provides with 'Official' in the title are builds made by the Devs for that God. If that God can play more than one role, like Aphrodite being a Mid Laner and a Support, they'll have a build for each.
These are always good starting points. They don't always use the best items, but they recommend items that will always provide value for that God. Once you start getting a feel for what each item does, that's when you can start swapping items out for ones you want to use that you think would work better. And sure, sometimes they won't work as well as you'd hoped, but that's the whole point - If you never experiment, you'll never know which items you like using, and which items some Gods can make work that other Gods wouldn't normally build.
The builds the Devs provide are fine. They're nothing spectacular, but they're all simple items that are frequently used on those Gods to help you learn and understand the basic mechanics.
Thank you i just wanted to make sure im not trolling myself. Cause some games on neith i feel like my attacks do zero damage compared to when i play any other adc. but maybe thats just cause shes more ability focused
Got it. Do you know about strength and intelligence? They are the main two stats from items that increase your damage. Some gods’ abilities only use strength, some only use intelligence, and some use both(like Neith). Regardless of what the different abilities use almost every god uses the same str and int for basic attacks: +100% of your str and +20% of your int. So if you build str items you will basic attack harder than if you build int items.
If you are using a int Neith build your basic attacks won’t do much damage but your abilities will hit harder. If you build str your basic attacks will hit hard but your abilities will not hit AS hard as int. If you split between str and attack speed items you will get the best basic attack damage output but do the least ability damage.
Like others have been saying, go with what's available to you first, once you're cool with the kit, move to their scaling, most gods favor one thing over another, or if it's hybrid, go with whatever works better (if you like basic attacks, go with strength, as opposed to int. Only if it's hybrid). If you start getting into harder roles like support or solo. Best thing to do is try your best to counter build your opponent. Usually gets into it like spectral armor against crit, styngian anchor against healing, and other protection based items to fill out your build. It comes case by case, but learning who you're against helps out the most, and it is never always cookie cutter on what you can build
Use Smitesource while you're still learning how to play the game. The builds on there will be better than auto builds all day long. When you feel like you understand the game mechanically you can start look at Smitebrain to get your builds.
Both are good places to get your builds from however Smitebrain assumes you know which build is going to better for your situation where as Smitesource gives you a few generically good builds no matter the team comp
In your journey of learning common items and builds per role, take some time to look at the scoreboard at the end of each match. If a particular player had a lot of kills/low deaths and/or had a high amount of player damage or healing, look at what items they built. I copied a teammate’s Kali build, for example, and have had a lot of fun and success playing her.
Keep in mind to read what the items do. Another example, I saw a great healing support build on a Guan Yu but I left a couple of item slots in his build flexible as only the first 3-4 items in his build seemed like a must-have depending on the healing support character I copy it on to.
I find a lot of useful info on Reddit too and keep an eye out for items that get mentioned and praised by a few different people. That will give you a hint at what’s really good and what’s just niche.
I test builds too in the god practice mode and pay attention to my top dps and average dps.
You will get the hang of everything the more you play.

Do you mean with the same items or with the recommended Neith specific builds vs other ADCs building ADC items.
I'm not sure, i just use the autobuild

use smitebrain filtered to demigod/deity for all roles. though if you're looking for specialized jungle builds, go smitesource.
until you hit maybe diamond, you don't need to know the why and when of every item
