He made it clear on his Substack that Darcy is not returning to the band, and did so specifically after news outlets reported on his positive words about her as a potential hint at her return. I believe he said something along the lines of never having a musical relationship with Darcy again, but that he respects her prior involvement and is maintaining a professional relationship with her in the sense that she is paid royalties etc.
