Pleas help me great Reddit community.
i had n20 for 1 month. found it problematic for side sleeping.
I have been back sleeper whole life but started sleeping on side to reduce my sleep apnea When diagnosed initially for last 6 months.
Got cpap 1 month before then also sleeping on side. Asked chat gpt - paid version about this and got answer better to sleep on side as it will result in less stress on body Even when using cpap.
now I used n20 for first 2 weeks . Few days were good but then it started feeling pain and swelling on face next day due to n20.
read reviews about p10 then got it but found it to more problematic.
it causes severe pain in nose next day along with very very dry throat and mouth.
I have been mouth taping and added humidity to my ResMed 11.
any guidance will be highly appriciated.
The p10 does not need to be tight at all to get a good seal. I use the p10 and my straps are about as loose as they can get and I always have zero leaks. No pain either.
As far as the dry mouth/throat this most likely means your mouth is falling open in your sleep and/or you are mouth breathing. I had this issue for a bit too the only thing that solved it for me was taping my mouth shut. No more dry mouth in the morning. But it seems you’re already been trying this so I’m not sure what else could be done.
My pressure is 9-12. ChatGPT says as p10 directly throws air in nose and throat it dries air more compared to n20. May I ask your pressure values.

I couldn't use it.
N30 was my solution.
Are you side sleeper? Asking because I already got 2 masks in 1 month. I don’t want to waste on one more. :(
I'm 100% a side sleeper.
What are your leaks like?
Almost none as I use mouth tape
Huh?
I do well with the F&P Brevida. The pillows are softer than the P30i, which are probably similar to the P10 pillows.
Make sure you have the right size cushion. And, use saline gel or lanolin or something to help your nose. Alternating between the new P10 and your old N20, in order to give your nose a break, might also help the transition.
If you're having very dry throat and mouth, you're probably having leaks. If the mouth taping and humidity aren't fixing it (especially the mouth taping), make sure you're sealing your mouth really well. Use SleepHQ or OSCAR to see what your leaks look like.
Thanks for your suggestions. May I ask your pressure settings. My are 9.6 to 12.
I'm on bilevel. My EPAP (exhale pressure) is currently 5.4 and my IPAP (inhale pressure) is currently 14.2. I'm on constant pressure.
