I picked it up and it sunk its teeth in my wrist. I went out and told him his cat just bit me, he’s like “cat, I don’t have a cat”. Next morning my arm felt like it was broken. Streaks of bright red ran up my arm to my chest. Dr said it almost killed me.
Cellulitis infection. It is quite serious and can lead to sepsis. It nearly killed my brother after our Siamese ninja assassin cat bit him through his hand between the thumb and forefinger.
His hand swole like a balloon and he spent a week in the hospital with a drainage tube. Cats fangs are very foul.
Always made a point to play/rough house with my cats until they drew blood when I was younger. In my 8 year old brain it was practice for the fights with the other cats and dogs in the neighborhood. It was always started with zoomies and ended with cuddles.
After seeing cat scratch fever, I am thankful I have never had it.
