out of the whole bailey moon mansion in get famous, with abt 4-5 bathrooms.. why is there only one toilet in the whole house on the bottom floor. do the ea team check the houses they build before putting them in an ep?
Get Famous is notorious for having some of the worst, most incomplete builds of the whole game. Check out Judith’s place. Ick.
Eventually, they let players build new houses and they are better. Realm of Magic is the other worst offender. I don’t think anything else is as bad as those two.
Hey, at least that lot doesn't have an inexplicable glitchy bump that makes your camera suddenly jump every time it goes over it, and the only way to get rid of it is to bulldoze the lot...
It’s definitely a mistake. People have been complaining about the lack of toilets in that house since the pack came out. A lot of the builds look like they needed a quality check!
Honestly they need to go back and redo everything that came before Snowy Escape (when simmers took over) because everything pre then looks so bad!
It’s even worse in the base game worlds because they’ve updated townies houses with all the new stuff we’ve had through the years but left everything else which now look completely out of place compared to the new builds!
I only got get famous recently, while I had a lot of others DLCs and I was honestly shocked to see how bad and incomplete the town is. Most builds are empty and just plain ugly
it's a shame bc the fame system has a lot of gameplay potential.
It is obvious that for the first 7 years of this game's dev, they were rushing, underpaid, and constantly churning staff and teams so no one knew what had been previously created. None of the EPs are connected to one another, you have duplicate objects that do almost the same thing but not quite.
It's only been in the last year or so that I feel like anyone at EA has the time to give a shit about player experience, or even takes the time to review what already exists in the game before they build on top of it.

It wasn't not just a Brady Bunch thing though, perfectly normal everyday things and words were often considered by the networks as not appropriate. Like the way I Love Lucy was the first major TV show to include a pregnancy plot line in the show but they never actually used the word, despite the fact that the characters were married in the show and actors were married in real life.
because EA used to handle building lots for new packs themselves, and they were awful at it. the new packs have much better shipped lots because at some point, I think around eco living maybe? they decided it made more sense to have actual community members who play the game and have a better eye for design build lots.
The EA builders for this game are so fucking lazy. Giant ugly empty houses that are hard to play bc nothing you need next to each other is close. Empty neighborhoods with like 3 lots and nothing to DO in them. If you looked at what you got with each S2 ep you'd throw pixels.
Whenever I go to a community lot I open up "activities/games" and put stuff to do on the lot. Otherwise there's no reason to be there.
